The house is extremely spacious and and cozy. Very well furnished, the rooms are big, cozy and luminous equipped with fans and AC. Every room has a private bathroom , there is a large dining hall, perfect to gather and have meals together. The kitchen is very well equipped. The upstairs terrace also is very big. But finally, the most important thing is that the owner was extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to help for any necessity. The cleanings were done regularly and with care.

The best Home stay in Trivandrum ever!

Me and my family (including a 10 month infant) had planned a Trivandrum trip last December (Sorry Pradeep for sharing our review so late). We chose this homestay after reading a lot of reviews and we do not regret our choice a wee bit. Since the time of our booking, Pradeep had been checking on us and helping us with our planning. On reaching the destination we found a beautiful bungalow with a humble and grounded couple - Pradeep ane Neelina. They were very helpful throughout our stay with answers to all our 5 Why's - What, Where, When, Who, How :) .Although they could charge us for the meals in-house they never tried to sell it. In fact they did give us suggestions on good eateries in and around Trivandrum. Needless to say that we still chose in-house food over outside since they were equipped with a wonderful cook- Suresh( if i remember his name correctly). We used to look forward to our meal timings to relish his food. He made sure that the food was tailored to suit our baby. Overall a very nice experience at this homestay.

Awesome twosome - Host and Cook

I was traveling with a group. The hosts were very gracious and went out of their way to provide us with delicious, varied meals. We were able to use the washing machine and hang laundry on the roof to dry. Very nice and homey.

Spent a week

We booked our room on phone just a day before as our flight was not confirmed. And it was indeed that we really landed not only in "God's own Country" but in a home where the owner was like God to us! I forgot my purse in the taxi when we reached Pushpakam and I realized it only after 20 minutes at the time of taking my medicines. All our ID cards, my credit debit cards and tickets, money, mobiles were in the purse. We were to visit Kanyakumari on the next day and the taxi driver was annoyed as we did not accept the package he offered. We had hired the taxi through my husband's friend and so we called him to trace the driver. The driver had gone further 20 kms for dinner and was not ready to talk about handing over the purse. Luckily, Mr Pradeep - the owner of Pushpakam recalled that the taxi driver had called him for directions to his home. He called the driver and asked him to get the purse back but the driver denied. Mr Pradeep's friend - who is also named Pradeep too tried reasoning with the  driver. They could talk in Malyalam and were locals so my husband requested Pradeep to accompany us in Uber and reach the place where the taxi was parked to collect my purse. It was 11.30 pm by then and ultimately the driver handed over the purse to me. He was drunk and banged my purse - we had to pay him 1500/- for not taking the package he had offered; he wanted still some more amount! I was relieved that all my valuables were in tact after what we went though in our first trip to Kerala.
The help and bonding that both the Pradeeps(owner and his friend) offered was unforgettable! We all had met for the first time and yet they never hesitated for a moment in facing the critical situation together! I wrote in detail just to substantiate my words as a True homestay.
There are 5 rooms in the beautiful bungalow.  There is a fully equipped kitchen which you can use. There is washing machine and Aquaguard water is provided. Rooms are clean and spacious. TV is common -  in the hall. Mr Pradeep also arranges pick up and transport at very reasonable rates - we opted the taxi service that he recommended. His wife Neelina is a very affectionate lady and made us feel comfortable in her house. Both veg and non veg meals can be arranged here. We departed on the next day with the memories of these persons endowed with a KIND HEART and compassion. I would certainly stay with them and also recommend my friends, family and other visitors at Trivandrum to enjoy the hospitality at Pushpakam!

Truly a caring home

Mr Pradeep and his wife made my recent stay in Pushpakam very very comfortable. They allowed me to live like my own home, We had excellent meals- sometimes prepared by them- sometimes prepared by ourselves.
It's truly a home away from home.
