This was our first stop on our 14 day tour and we loved it!  Our hostess Sigrun was charming and interesting, and we adored our conversations with her, and seeing her amazing sculptures which decorate the lovely sitting room leading out to a large terrace where we were treated to afternoon tea.  Our en suite rooms were large, and one had its own private sit-out balcony which was special.  We asked for dinner  the first night and Laxman cooked us the perfect first curry in India, enhanced by a fresh green salad, the lettuce grown on a rooftop garden.  My sister had asked for bacon and grilled tomatoes for breakfast.  Bacon is not easy to find but they found it! My daughter and I had a delicious omelette, and there was copious coffee and toast with delicious homemade mango conserve. Our stay was not in a separate apartment, but our hostess and staff were mindful of our privacy.  We loved our stay here and meeting Sigrun.  Her home was the perfect stay at the beginning of our trip.

A special experience

Beware if you have booked a few months ago as the daughter you have sent your mail to does not pass the info to her mother who looks after the inn and who then expects you to call up / contact your friends who are flying in about sending a pick-up. This was very unprofessional.
There is no door bell, the gates are closed, no watchman and the staircase is dark until the 2nd floor to save on the light bill, probably.
The rooms were on the 2nd floor, there is no lift and no one to help with the heavy bags. 
The breakfast was very basic, toast and omlette and poha / upama and tea.
Coffee came on the 3rd day,after asking for it every day.
We were asked to come back before 8 pm because the watchman has to leave, we were told.This is ridiculous as there was no watchman and only the Cook Laxman who was there all the time.
Very disappointing.
