Hotel is located in the heart of mcleodganj . Easy approach.best views. Clean and very cozy rooms and also a very helpful staff

Amazing location and view

We have an excellent experience staying in this hotel that is located on the Mall Road. We booked 3 deluxe rooms for one night. All the rooms have a balcony with an amazing view of the mountains and the valley.

Sonia ji at Reception greeted us well and was very supportive.

One of the best hotel on Mall Road

My expectations were modest, as with all Indian hostels, but this one turned out to be an abysmal dump. Very cold. The hostel has no heating. Very noisy. There is an ongoing construction on on the second floor, even on weekends. The staff amiable but uniquely inept. Does not take credit cards. Good location. A sheer nightmare on the whole. Stay away. They seem to be going bust anyway, thankfully.

Literally a nightmare

This is one of the finest properties on the mall road with excellent hospitality!! The owner Mr Harsh is an amazing host and wil definitely give you a lifetime experience!!! This property is bang on the mall road with spacious rooms and superb valley viwes!!

I’m Roveena Nayek; I came from Saudi Arabia to India with my family and we went to Mcleodganj, HP for a trip. We stayed at hotel Grand Hill for 5 days. There were a lot of good points about the hotel. The location was the best thing about the hotel. It was situated in the main market. There was a medical store and a supermarket right beside the hotel and a lot of stalls that attract the tourists. The Dalai Temple was also at a walkable distance. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You can sit in the balcony and enjoy the view with the beautiful weather. The hotel has its own restaurant (hungry birds). The food at the hotel is scrumptious. There are a variety of dishes and various cuisines for you to try. And all the food tastes amazing. The staff at the hotel was very cooperative. The service was quick and proper. Cleanliness was maintained at the hotel at all times and the rooms are cleaned everyday. Altogether I would say that my stay at the hotel was comfortable and satisfying. I would gladly like to stay at this hotel in the future too 👍😃🤍


My personal views and and experience of staying at hotel Grand Hotel

The hotel is excellent in every aspect. The location is the highest attraction for tourists, it is super convinient with the Dalai Lama Temple at walking distance, the main market is also very close. The hotel is hygenic and and clean and the staff members are also very cooperative. The service of the hotel is also good.

Amazing place

The hotel has serious security issue. The locks don't work. We travelled from 20 to 22 June and stayed in supreme rooms but in room 202 the door lock got dead jammed  and this was after we had complained prev evening that here seems to be a defective lock but still they ensured it was fine. And next morning we were locked inside our room for more than an hour while people climbed from next room balcony to open it in one hour. What if we had to catch a flight same. Day or have a fire situation. We would have been stuck there

Best hotel in mcleodganj 

The Grand Hill is very close to HH Dalai Lama Temple, Just 5min walking distance 

the staff was nice but not able to clean properly 
All dirty and noisy in general 

We booked 3 room for us and friends 
And we had a similar experience

I stayed in the hotel for two months. It is in a great location - 10 mins walk to the Dalai Lana’s Temple and close to cafes and shops. The view is great from the rooms. The staff were wonderful, especially Sunil. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
