staying at this hotel recently, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. The condition of the room was appalling - the doors were broken, making security a major concern. The bed had blood-stained sheets, which was not only unsightly but also unsanitary. Cockroaches infested the room, creating a completely unacceptable living environment. To add to the list of issues, the bathroom did not even have a functioning lock, which is a basic necessity for any guest.

I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed and uncomfortable this stay was. I strongly advise against booking a room at this hotel until they address these serious issues. It's essential for the management to improve the cleanliness, security, and overall condition of the rooms to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests. This experience was far from what one would expect from any reputable establishment.

In addition the hotel charges extra than what was advertised stating they wrongly mentioned the amount in MakeMyTrip


The worst and disgusting 🤮

Value For money ..we stayed for one day .Approximately 400 meters from the temple complex , complimentary breakfast served is very good quality.  Ample car parking available. Newspapers available in lobby .TV was provided. Hot water available. Restaurant provides good quality food . Overall a pleasant experience

Fabulous stay

Hotel is average but service is good. Hotel Building is some modifications and old type ! Review I can give 3/5 rating only. Bad experience in this location. I feel no satisfied in this hotel rooms and family rooms.

Thiruchendur Murugan Temple 

We were in a group of family and friends and stayed here for a night after looking at reviews about the hotel on trip advisor, but the hotel was very disappointing and nothing like the pictures shown on the travel sites. 
The rooms were big and spacious. But that's where it ends. The bedsheets were dirty and had blood stains on them and so were the pillowcases.This was the same in our friends rooms. I don't think they were changed after the previous guest left. You just had to touch them to know. Toilets were not as clean as expected. Hot water was available. Did not want to use the towels provided as they weren't clean either. Food is average at the restaurant with very unhelpful staff. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Not happy with the hotel.

I used to stay very often in this hotel. Day by day it loses its quality in all means. No toiletries, rooms are not clean, towels and bed sheets are old.  The hotel needs a efficient manager to face lift the service and quality in all means. I don't like stay here next time as lot of options nearby 

Day by day going down 

Below is my review for 1 night stay at udhayam. And a note to make my trip. Never promote these kind of hotels in future. 

1.The hotel does not have cleanliness. Bathrooms looked like public toilets. No handle for the cup. Not at all neat. This hotel should definitely be renovated. Badly needs maintainence. 
Please think twice before bookinh here especially if you are traveling with a child. 
Lot of bed bugs/dust mites in the bed. We couldn't sleep at all. It was full of bugs and disturbed the whole night. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are dirty and for the price we pay to udhayam, is definitely not worthy. 
Hotel is highly priced. 
Never coming back to this hotel. Its in a bad shape. The room fan regulator was not working. Inspite of telling the reception guys , they never bothered to come and check it. Either they did not arrange us another room. The air conditioner was so bad. It literally dint work at night. It got automatically switched off. 
Overall a very bad stay we had. Not even a good thing to point out

I'v written this review out of so much anger and frustration!

The worst hotel stay- 1 night

Here we stayed for a day (2 adults, 1 kid - 1 night - 1850 booked through agoda with complementary breakfast).
A decent hotel, spacious room and bath for the value. around 700 meters to Thiruchendur murugan temple,Walkable. It has ample space to park car, if needed. They provided decent complementary breakfast. 
Nobody tried to hard sell about any of the service provided in the hotel. 
Not used their wifi, not sure if they have provided any.

Room service was quick to respond

Decent stay, no nonsense hotel

We stayed here on our way to Trivandrum. They charge you rates like star hotels but give you service that doesn't even beget a zero score. We had taken a super comfort deluxe room that cost us RS. 3500 without taxes.

There was no power in the night and back up kicked in after 15 mins. The restaurant people can't understand anything you ask them, even when you speak in clear Tamil.

There was no water after 9 am, and the alibi was that a pipe was broken. They offer complimentary breakfast which is shut down at 10.30 am, and they made us pay for their problem of not having water.

We had to call the front desk ten times before someone got buckets of water for a shower.

HOPELESS HOTEL.WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE.
