We are an Australian couple,  popped in here for lunch. It was excellent, with a  large selection in cuisines. My friend chose not spicy and nor it was. Most reasonably priced with prompt and attentive service.

Ambiance is nice: shiny entrancehall, effective waitingroom with cold AC and decent rooms. Good WiFi (at least on groundfloor)

We had a choice of two rooms, one much bigger for the same price.
Just before we went to sleep we discovered bedbugs. Luckily the smaller room was still available and bugfree but the initial good vibe was lost. New sheets (much whiter than the other room...) but it was not cleaned.

Staff really is superfriendly, trying very hard but not effective. Asked for a cleaning of the smaller room the next morning but it was not done when we came back, then cleaning the bathroom was forgotten. 

Included 'breakfast' is a joke: one slice of bread with cheese (brrr), cold boiled egg, prefab juice/lemonade and a banana. It is brought to your room at 8:15.



An OK stay except for the bedbugs

Visited a few days back. Booked through Oyo.com.The most unprofessional local staffs - they dont know how to speak with their guests. Infact they dont know basic ettiquets,manarism. They dont know basic hospitality. They will spoil your day by involving false arguement. If you have a confirmed booking they can deny without caring anyone. Even if you show booking voucher.
Suggest to everyone to not to go there for a sgl moment. Otherwise you will spoil your day. I didnt check in to this hotel for their bad,rude behaviour of receptionist. Denied my confirmed booking. Therefore, I Cancelled my booking at there in the reception & had booked another hotel. Wasted INR 2080/.
Lastly, to the hotel owner please look into your unprofessional staffs at reception & in restaurant. Otherwise its reputation will disappear. No one will come to stay here. 
Totally waste of money with a bad day of my life.

The Most Bad Hotel in Kolkata

Actually i made reservations from agoda.com but when i reached the hotel they told me there is no book in my name, then i normally follow the procedure and book 1 room, The room is too small and dusty even the whole hotel is same situation, there is no wifi in hotel room and the main thing service is very terrible so my humble request don't go there 

Poor Service 

The room was inexcusably dirty. Wear and tear is one thing in an older place but these rooms were clearly not being cleaned whatsoever. I don't think the bedsheets were even being changed and there were bedbugs in them too. The place was crawling.
Breakfast was brought around to rooms in the morning and people would leave the empty tray and refuse in the hallway to be removed when they were finished with them. We left the hotel one day at 10am and when we returned at 8pm the trays and rubbish including ours was all still left in the hallways as well as other rubbish that had built up during the day, empty beer bottles, newspapers, dinner plates...
Awful, really, really awful. And the room wasn't even cheap, by indian standards and prices it was quite expensive, the most expensive room of our 2 month trip.
Don't do it to yourself, even to save a few rupees, life is too short.
