Good Ambience, Managing by the owner directly. Having comfort,  safety with high standard by keeping authentic traditional utilities possible. Food service with excellence. Very professional, cab service option available ( 200m hill side )to reach main Street.

Family oriented environment

Nice rooms with good service and great food. Best place to stay with family and friends in kodaikanal. The onwer is very friendly. The food was delicious. The room service was excellent and everything was delivered as needed. The prices were decent and the stay was worth it.

Enjoyed my stay at Mount Pleasant

Nice room and sweet persons....Foods also so delicious....This place definitely makes you so happy and comfortable....😍 This place give you a native place feel....  Please go and get so  beautiful memories............ So so so clean rooms.... Very kind persons... Don't miss the chef Cook Foods... 

Lovely Place 

We stayed at Mount Pleasant Boutique Resort and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing and we had such a lovely stay.   The rooms are Incredible and we had booked 8 rooms . 
Beautiful suite and view,  Excellent breakfast, fantastic service, especially Mr.Najmal Sir . He assisted us with transportation issues and saved us much time.

Pleasant stay at Kodaikkanal

Our recent trip to Kodai was with our family. This was our second stay at Mount Pleasant. The fact that we had emmensely enjoyed our earlier stay at the place  motivated us to stay there once again. However, this trip we were accompanied by our family. The stay,  as expected was very comfortable and cosy. Mr. Najmal paid personal attention to all our requirement and needs, especially of the little ones and elders amongst us. The other staff were equally courteous.
The best part of our stay at Mount Pleasant  is the homely ambiance and good food. The breakfast was simple but tasty for the palates. Eating the food you don't feel as if you are away from home. The taste of the yummy  dum biryani served is still remaining with us. The bonfire arranged one night was really enjoyable with music and impromptu dance which all of us had joined. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and the washrooms clean. The small library can be put to use at night or if you want to just chill or relax during the day with a book in hand. 
Kodai city was as usual crowed. However, we could take walk beside the lake and also went for trekking. We once again enjoyed our stay at Kodai and although we had planned for three night stay we ended in extending our stay. We have to personally thank Mr Najmal for making alternative arrangements for us at the eleventh hour to accommodate our extended stay since Mount Pleasant was fully booked.

Home away from home

We are having a team of people, enjoyed the stay, good atmosphere, very good hospitality, fantastic food, Neat and clean Rooms and toilets, enough space for get together and over all we have enjoyed the stay.

Very good hospitality

A nice cozy home stay . The whole cottage is decorated tastefully and has a small library as well. The hardware used are of good quality .The owner Mr. Najmal 's hospitality is very rare these days. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff were very courteus and helpful. A bit of maintenance is probably needed to keep the property in a good condition

Definitely a reccomendation for anyone staying at Kodai.

Pleasant Indeed

We went with a group of families last week to Kodaikanal and booked at Mount Pleasant.

This is a homestay, tucked down the road in one of the by lanes of Observatory road. Nicely done. They have pets, a nice little garden in front and back. The back side overlooks a small valley with trees. 
The approach road is a one way road and may get blocked if a truck or large vehicle is parked there which happened in our case. 
The inside has two floors, ground and basement.  The rooms were cosy, the bed was specially very comfortable. The bath room clean and functional, they didnt provide soaps which ideally should have been provided. The best part was my room opened to the lovely garden behind with a great view. 
Power was bit intermittent, but we could manage without much hassle. 
the wall in common area had some damp patches and the carpet there could have been bit more cleaner. A couple of chairs where creaky. 

Coming to services, it was great. They arranged a bonfire the first night and it was an amazing experience. We took lunch one of the days, and the food was simple but tasty and wholesome. The best part of food was the water which i feel was really good as w we felt hungry within few hours, no matter how much we ate. Breakfast options were limited to Idly and upma, but since it was freshly made, it was tasty and filling. 

The owner, Mr Najmal was very polite and sensitive to guest requirements and did everything possible to make the stay comfortable. Other attendants were also very courteous and helpful. 

Coming to Kodaikanal township, lesser said the better. Heavily crowded, traffic jams on mountain roads,  garbage lying on road sides, dug up roads on several places, u name it its there. Its sad to see the administration is doing little to maintain such a nice place and letting it deteriorate by the day, 

Overall i would recommend this place as good for group of families and its kids friendly  and surely a good value for money.
