Have stayed here thrice (Jun 2011, Jan 2013, Jul 2017). One thing which is consistent - Food and Food and Food. In fact, I planned to stay at another place this time (Jul 2017) and had horrible experience and had to leave that place in mid of vacation. Contacted aunty and she was very Gracious to accept us in her house at run-time (like we just dropped in and asked for room). She went out of her way to make us comfortable and made special dishes for us - including all my visits had So many type of puttus, Appam, idyappam, 3 type of dosas, poori, Idli, Rava idli, poori, 3 type of chicken curry, Pandi curry, Fish (fry and dry and curry) and then veg things. All in total 8-9 days of stay across. To top it all Nonnaiah Aunty was so good with my kids (earlier 1 kid and this time 2 kids) , never got frustrated with them running inside her house to to her own room. Both uncle and Aunty were so loving for them. In Fact once or twice she took away kid with her to her room so we could get alone dinner time with each other. Another point is access to kitchen and cooking for my wife to prepare for my kids. She says, she doesnt advertises and only goes by word of mouth. Which is apparent in her bookings. All in all Best place in Western Ghats for Authentic food (i am a Cook myself), very good for Family and home like feeling. Any yes, that homemade wines are so awesome. Will recommend to anyone travelling with family or wanting to have a taste of Coorgi Hospitality... For the lUnch places and also for places to visit, Ask Aunty she gives best advice, as to how to sequence your visits, which restaurant good for what kind of food, what route to take etc.,
