We were planning a Coorg trip from sept.'23.Got recommendation for Amritasthanam.
Finally went on 28th dec. for a 2N stay.It's  an excellent breathing place for true nature lovers.Room & common areas etc are completely spick n span.Very good interiors.Homemade set foods[Morning breverages,breafast,dinner] are fresh,hygenic & tasty.Though choice of foods & time flexibity should be added. Instead of most common amenities like  swimming pool , spa , sport activities in  hotels & resorts , you will start your day with charping of known,unknown birds from early morning, then start forest bathing[walking in forest ] inside diff. trees , coffee plants etc. which have a great therapeutic benefits on your mind & body & exceptional sunset view accompanied by birds concert.Superb hospitality of Ms Ganga, doing everything by her own.Overall it was an very nice experience & I will highly recommend this place.

NATURE VACATION

After a long time ever since we took a holiday, we decided to visit Kodagu - which was a long cherished holiday destination. The climate was aptly set for the long weekend. When we started from Bengaluru, it was raining all the way right up to Kodagu. We reserved our stay at Amrithasthanam guest house. When we reached the place, it was almost getting dark, raining and visibility going down fast. We were advised to reach before 5 PM and we almost touched 5 as we took a detour to visit the Namdroling Monastery Golden Temple on the way. Although the entire route was scenic and a comfortable drive, the last 2kms approach to the guest house was narrow and challenging in that situation. We reached and settled in with a hot cup of coffee and snacks. The place was very clean, spacious and the host was the best! Never felt we were away from home, we stayed there for two nights and had dinner at the guest house. The best part of the dinner was that the host also dined with us and we had a good time exchanging our views etc. My wife loved the cupcakes made by Mrs Ganga and we requested a few to take along with us which she happily obliged. 

The next morning, we were on our way to Thala Cauvery which was another memorable drive and on the way we stopped by to take pictures with a mesmerising background, green fields, mountains, clouds etc. I think the beauty of nature is better to be seen than can be described. It was a lovely break for us and Kodagu was the right choice for this vacation ...

What can I say? We were lucky to find this gem of a homestay! The location is amazing—away from the madness of the city, nestled amid mountains; the views of the sunset from the balcony are breathtaking; the rooms are clean and well-furnished; the food is delicious and homely; the dogs are friendly; and, most important, the host is a charming lady that would make you feel like you're a guest in her own home. One of the best stays I've ever had!

More Than Perfect!

Amazing stay! Must visit when you visit coorg! Grear service and delicious/hygienic food. The view from balcony is great. Rooms are very clean. Entire property has a positive vibe. Ganga has been an incredible host!

Best Homestay

I had been to Amristhanam Madikeri,Coorg.Its a beautiful  place in a lap of nature. The food was fresh and nutrious too. Each and everything was taken care of so  well. Everything  so well presented A big thank you Ganga ma'am, you have that X factor, it ft like you were part of us only.Will visit again. Only I felt the room.were.over priced.

If you're looking to ground yourself with nature in a quiet getaway, this place is for you. Nowhere else have I felt like time had stopped and was able to truly relax. This place is perfect if you want to get away from your busy and hectic lifestyle. The sun sets on the property were unmatched and must be seen in person. The hospitality and care taken by the staff and host cannot be compared. This was the best service I've ever received and you can really tell that the host is so passionate about her property and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. The food was wholesome and delicious. You can really tell that the host takes her time to provide hearty and healthy food. She's also very helpful in suggesting things to do and where to go sight seeing. Overall I had an amazing stay and will definitely be coming back.

If you want to see what heaven on earth looks like, visit Ganga's Amritasthanam Guest House, and when they say Guest is God, you are treated like one at this retreat. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hospitality and food were top-tiered and the staff is very caring. All my life I have taken vacations to come back home not well rested but this time I felt rejuvenated and well-rested to take on the world.  The view was spectacular!!! The backdrop of hills reminds me of the Bob Ross paintings I used to see back in the day. The morning brew with a view of misty mountains was breathtaking. For a coffee lover like me to see coffee beans growing in abundance around me and to hold them in my hands was a lifetime experience. I appreciate my morning cup more than ever now. I wouldn't hesitate to compare this place with Switzerland or Scotland. The landscape of rolling hills covered with lush greenery, cardamom, pepper plants, avocado, pomelo, and other fruit growing casually around you.....city folks like me can only see these in books or the internet. I saw a vast variety of flora and fauna that I had not seen with my eyes. The place is well maintained and you can see the essence of Ganga's beautiful spirit all around as you go for a walk at the property. I found the names of the trails named by Ganga bring the world together in peace and harmony at Amritasthanam. For kids and teenagers, it is an experience they cannot get from books. Madikeri town and marketplace are so nearby and for sightseeing, there is so much to see like the Cauvery river, Daubare elephant camp, Namdroling Monastery, Harangi dam, and Raja's seat to name a few places. We were out of days and we have a list of things to do when we return in the future. My trip seemed too short to fully take in the beauty of this place and enjoy the company of Ganga but all the more reason to come back and inhale the freshness of Madikeri with a picturesque view. Thank you, Ganga for your efforts to keep this place what it is. It was a pleasure meeting you and you will be a part of our happy memories. Thanks to your staff for all their care and hard work. 

Heaven On Earth

I had a really wonderful time at amritastanam , it was my solo trip to Madikeri . The place has such a positive vibe , and goodness .. it is truly a retreat centre where you can relax , unwind and spend some quality time amidst nature . The view  from the room was so beautiful , you can see the  mountain ranges and watching sunset was something worthwhile . Rooms and room service is great . The host are lovely people , they made me feel so comfortable thru out my stay , I felt I was visiting my extended family . Not to forget the food , Ganga ma’am really took care of me , gave me some tasty and nutritious meals as per my taste . Thank you so much .. ❤️and Pradeep uncle .. his humor and youthful spirit is something I still remember . I felt I was at home .  . So good location , food , service and wonderful hosts .. it can’t get better than this . I have carried so much goodness from this place . I don’t think any other place I have visited had  such homely positive atmosphere . I am looking forward to visit again . Thanks a ton 💖

Amritasthanam is situated in a hilly area, little inside from the main road,  approach road of around last 1 km is little narrow, but easily accessible for the small vehicle too. Guesthouse owners Ganga and Pradeep are very friendly and regularly look after your needs and keep you updated.  They guide you for everything right from reaching the destination and planning your trip to visiting nearby places. All rooms were neat and clean and gives a beautiful view for nature lovers.  During our stay morning, Tea/Coffee was served with freshly homemade tasty muffins. Breakfast and dinner are available on demand.
