The hostel itself is decent but was not so safe for girls. The owner and his friends were very inappropriate, and said a lot of dirty things they wanted to do to us there. Wouldn’t recommend for girls 

Not safe

One of the best hostel with all facilities and places near by. The loveliest part of the hostel is the ambience. 
If you are a solo traveller or travelling as group with friends i Would recommend you to stay here.

One of the best hostel in Jaisalmer

This place is perfect for travellers who are looking to get quality rest at cheap price. I was welcomed  with great smile.The common lounge is heart of the place.I liked the room too.Location was just near to fort. Nice view of fort from roof top.

Awesome hostel

The hostel is just outside the fort and you get an amazing view of the fort from its roof top cafe.  This place reopened after 3rd week of December. The host Polu is a great man, always smiling and willing to help. He also speaks a few foreign languages and great to converse with.
The building of the hostel is nice and has a rustic feel. the common areas are well decorated, keeping in theme of the golden town. The rooms and beds were a bit basic though, I expected it to be a bit more colorful considering its a hostel !
Roof to cafe is nice, tea was good but I found food to be average They probably need a better cook but there are ample places to eat near by. All attractions are within walking distance and place is very safe. 
The host is very friendly person.....There was no hurry for any payment for a week I stayed . I settled everything just before I left and he arranged for a transport to airport without me even asking ! That was generous and I would go back and stay there again to meet  Mr Polu ji.

Fort view and convenient place to stay in Jaisalmer

Thanks so much for your sneaky support of my friends in organising a birthday cake and party for me, that was so sweet and a really lovely unexpected surprise. 

I appreciated your tour guiding when you took a crew of us to the lake and the cenotaphs and the sunset point, it was a special day. 

Pulo you have a great sense of humour and a lot of experience working with tourist from all walks of life.

The common areas in the hostel are nice and the real coffee on the menu and free use of the washing machine are excellent perks in my opinion.

I was debating whether to skip jaisalmer on my current route but am so pleased I didn't. The location is good and the discount if coming from hostelavie jodhpur is also another worthy bonus!!!

Thanks again. I will always have fond memories.

Really looked after!!

I recently stayed here with a couple of friends, we had a 4 bed en suite dorm.
This is a cute hostel with a lovely roof terrace and inside social area. 
Darling the hostel manager, is so much fun, always making us laugh and helping to plan and take us out to the best places for Sunset. It was one of my friends birthday during our stay and he helped arrange a cake and birthday party.
We also did the 2 day camel safari, 1st night sleeping under the stars and the second at a resort with cultural show, which Darling joined us for on the 2nd night.
The hostel is a couple of minutes walk into the fort and old town and is about 10mins from the bus stop.
I would stay here again if in Jaisalmer.

Excellent hospitality 

Stayed here for two days & had a great experience. It is walking distance to the fort & other tourists attractions. Their hospitality makes one feel at home specially of Poluji.we booked one overnight desert safari with him, he drove us to the destination after showing us some beautiful offbeat places. The rooftop restaurant at the foothills of fort is very relaxing. The food specially the laal maas is outstanding. I will love to stay here if I return to Jaisalmer

Amazing stay in Hostel Lavie

Had an amazing stay at Hostelavie! It's in a great location just below the fort, within easy walking distance of Jaisalmer's main attractions. The staff were all immensely friendly, fun and attentive. Their roof terrace was perfect to relax in during the evening, to have some chai, catch some quiet time or socialise with other guests. Rooms were clean, well maintained and great value for money. We also highly reccommend booking a camel safari with Hostelavie, it was a great experience!

Fantastic budget hostel with friendly staff

We sent a group of 4 people to stay at HostelAvie Desert Camps. The experience of the stay and ambiance was great but what was missing, the service! After reading and hearing such great reviews we made a decision to send our clients here and they were not even provided proper dinner during their accommodation under MAP Plan. Moreover, they served half dinner and told the other half will arrive in another hour. If you want to have a great stay go ahead, don't expect good service.

Unexpected and Surprisingly Sad Service

Loved the ambience and the location. It's very close to the fort.
Rooftop cafe is cosy, whereas the cafe above is a tad expensive if you are on a budget.
The owners and caretakers are super helpful and welcoming.
You don't have a specific time to check in! That's the best part!!

The only things which can be improved is the cleanliness. Toilets and rooms weren't cleaned on a regular basis.
