We got to stay in one of the outermost round rooms of the fort. Natural airflow made the room beautiful for sleeping. It was incredible to be staying in such an ancient building with in the walled city. 
The service was outstanding and Deepak did all he could to make the stay comfortable and memorable.

Sleeping in history

When I arrived, I looked around as usual and was amazed to see the latest renovations. Half the rooms now have A/C, the redecoration is stunning. They were busy but I could see most rooms, (I'm nosey having spent my career in hotels) the rooftop terrace and the alterations. I love it!!
When I started staying here in 2011, it was a very basic place with great staff and great food. It now ranks as a true boutique guest house. The owner, Deepak, still insists it's a 'Traditional Rest House' (and it is). Retaining its wonderful old character, but now with beautifully appointed & decorated rooms.  Love the planting too.

Best of all for me....the staff are all still there and Bishu's food? Still to die for. And of course that view.

It remains my all-time favourite little hotel in the world.......well, of the 40-odd countries I've visited.

I visited here with Intrepid Tours, the staff are very accommodating, kind and attentive. The rooms are very clean and large with a traditional feel that reflects the historic buildings within the fort. While the steep steps to your room might challenge some, my family found it easy. A small fee of 700rp ($10 AUD) in addition will secure you a room with much needed AC. There is no TV but it wasn’t needed as the wifi speed is fast and reliable. Overall, highly recommended.

Deepak Rest Hotel is a little gem.

Very nice place here in Jaisalmer Fort, we stayed here through Intrepid Tours. Rooms we're great with fans and air con, showers we're good too. Nice quiet spot. The staff we're helpful and friendly. Awesome rooftop terrace too. Highly recommend if your staying in Jaisalmer.

Awesome experience

Lovely place and extremely friendly staff. It's a great location and the food is nice as well. The views over the local area on the roof of the hotel are amazing (great place for a beer!). The beds were really comfy and the bathrooms were really nice

Friendly hotel

The best deck in Jaisalmer Fort!  The staff were really helpful and the food was fantastic.  The evening meal with us dressed in Rajasthani clothing was a real highlight of the incredible Intrepid tour.  The rooms were warmer than others we have had to date.  

Fantastic Fort Stay!

I loved this hotel. It has friendly staff, good food and great views of the city. The rooms were comfortable and authentic. Why wouldn’t you stay in this stunning fort? Our trip was organised through Intrepid- and included a desert night stay

Beautiful views

The staff was really lovely and the food was really good! You have an amazing view from the rooftop where you can go whenever you like. 
It feels really special to stay there as it is not your usual kind of hotel. 
Would definitely recommend!

Amazingly friendly staff

Lovely stay. Really beautiful place & great staff - going above and beyond, working very hard to make our stay pleasant. Food was amazing, lots of options including both Western & Indian food. Views from the rooftop were stunzer. 

Amazing stay

The family that works here are very lovely and accomodating! Food was delicious and prepared in a sanitary manner. As an Australian girls travelling with my friends, I would recommend staying at Deepak to anyone!
