Every single thing clicked to make this "the best place to stay in Landsdowne". The landscape, the rooms, the views, the food, and even the drive to this place was beyond spectacular. Loved every moment of the 3N/4D stay here. Highly recommended!

Sterling Vanvasa is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Delhi life. The place is peaceful and picturesque, with a thick forest of trees and nature's peace all around. We (a family of 5 including 2 teens and a senior citizen) made a trip this July and note, its monsoon season - so rain/heavy rain is a common occurrence.
The drive to the resort was typical mountainous curvy roads but beautiful lush green forests. 

We were booked in a 2 BR Villa(?) - large spacious rooms independent from any other unit, nice sit out area and close to the main dining hall/restaurant (Aranya). The staff here has been extremely friendly, go out of their way to check in with you that you are comfortable. Every time I walk around the place, I am greeted with a smile and a hello.
The resort itself is myriad of trails all over the place..beautiful landscape lighting in the night, day time - feels surreal with forests, individual planted trees like gulmohur, mango, bamboo to name a few. The place has been designed and maintained with lots of love and passion.
 
What really made our stay special was the amazing service staff at the resort. The housekeeping folks were responsive to all our needs, never had to wait for more than 5-10 mins before they arrived. The in-room service was fast - everytime we ordered tea or snacks, it would be served in less than 15-20 mins. In the main dining area (Aranya) - Kudos to Chef Devendra for making our dining room visits worth while - every meal was fresh, hot and catered to our liking. I am sure we were a bit lucky here as the resort wasn't too crowded in monsoon season. Special shout-outs to a few folks - 
Kundan, a young gentleman from Gorakhpur -  whose melodious voice singing old bollywood songs made our evenings way more enchanting and nostalgic. 
Restaurant Staff - Ajay, Nitai, and a few others definitely went out of their way to make sure we had a sumptuous dining experience ensuring everyone in my family was happy and satisfied.  

The most unforgettable highlight of our trip -  Mr. Rawat, the owner of the resort, walking around the dining area - chatting with my family, asking kids questions to keep them entertained and engaged. Our first night in the dining room, we were fortunate that Mr.Rawat decided to give us a glimpse of his amazing piano skills - he lovingly played a few nostalgic bollywood songs on the piano — needless to say, making this a rare and endearing gesture that made our trip all the more special. Thank you for such a warming gesture Mr.Rawat.

My family thoroughly enjoyed the 3 night vacation at this resort - no rush, giving a nourishing break to our souls, enjoying a serene and blessed moment of pause in our otherwise hectic lives. Thank you Sterling Vanvasa Lansdowne Forest Division Staff and team for making it such for us. 

Overall - Highly recommended if you want to peaceful getaway from Delhi NCR region or otherwise. Definitely much less crowded than the usual hill stations like Shimla, Dehradun etc. But if you are expecting varied dining options, shopping, hustle bustle of the hill station - mall roads etc - this isn't the resort for you.

A very big resort with scenic view, rooms are very big in size and equipped with almost all aminities.  Food is served with 😊. One thing that I like most is that rooms are quite far away from each other which is giving us complete privacy.

Surrounded with lush green beauty, on top of the mountain and feel of Kalagadh and Jim Corbet national park, it’s completely peaceful place to be for some days.
We really enjoyed our stay. Food is amazing, Mr frank is a good host with lot of talent(singing, anchor & conduct activities). Rawat sir.. we truly enjoyed your piano talent.
Early in the morning 4 am i woke up with sound of deer grazing near our balcony, it was such a mesmerising experience.
For me driving  experience from Dugadha to resort was really adventurous. You would really pass through dense forest  and it’s truly enjoyable as its kind of USP of this resort. resort has really nice pool. there is a waterfall nearby which is truly a treasure not to miss.

he tranquil and lush green resort is nestled amidst deep forests and provides panoramic views of the gorgeous mountains from its beautiful cottages. We were here for three nights over the Diwali weekend and enjoyed our time here, unwinding in the lap of nature and enjoying the delicious food and the service of the staff members.

The property stands out for several reasons but what we found laudable is its model of sustainable development in an area that is pretty remote and sparsely populated. Its owner Satender Rawat, whom we had the pleasure of meeting, has thoughtfully enriched the beauty of the place by planting a wide variety of species of plants and trees. The landscaping has been done meticulously to retain the original character of the hill. He has created employment opportunities for the locals and used his creativity to build this beautiful place over the last fifteen years. 

The crisp air is accentuated by the sense of wilderness that constantly errs over the place, which I found exciting. There is a beautiful swimming pool, a well-stocked library and plenty of areas to stroll around. Every corner offers fantastic views of the mountains.

The staff is soft-spoken, prompt, and caring. Mr Rawat also played the piano for us, which we thought was sweet, and we appreciated his passion for nature, life, and music. We also drove down to a beautiful waterfall nearby. A piece of advice: do not forget to bring your towels and swimsuit when you visit. 

We would like to thank every member of the staff for making our Diwali holidays so relaxing.

If you are looking for a quite and serene place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city , this is the place for you. Beautiful location and equally beautiful property gives you an amazing experience to cherish. The resort is spread over a large area, with good accomodation and other recreational facilities. The live music by Mr Rajesh Frank in the evening is enthralling and the magic show by Mr Rajendra is what the children can look forward to and enjoy. These people are gems of Vanvasa. The staff is very good with special mention to the chefs at the place. We enjoyed our stay at the resort and look forward to another visit very soon.  It is a paradise for nature lovers.

If you are lover of spending time with yourself amongst quite scenic beauty and want to be at peace then Vanvasa Resort is certainly a stop experience.Icing on the cake is you are away from the idiot box and one can feel sanctity during early morning and evening time.Food quality is very simple but good to savour and relish.My mode of commutation was kotdwar railway station and then via taxi and I enjoyed the travel experience.The rooms are spacious and huge and the hospitality is A star.
During the daytime its hot so you have ample time spending with your family and friends.Wish you best trip always!!!

A perfectly located property with very limited network connectivity having great food and courteous staff.  Special thanks to Mr.Kapil Chadha, Mr.Rajender, Mr.Deepak Nautiyal & Mr.Devender along with Mr.Nitai from F&B, overall I’d say all the staff here is great, friendly and always ready to help. 

A special thanks to the owner of the property, Mr.Satender Rawat for maintaining such a beautiful property and also showing his magic tricks. A perfect getaway from the daily huddle of everyone’s life these days. Must must visit. The only drawback which I can tell is that you may happen to find lizards in your room but that’s the beauty of the perfectly located property in the jungle. You ought to come across such things in the room.

One of the finest resort , we have ever been. The serenity of this place is beyond words. Calm and beautiful. Staff is ever smiling and always eager to serve.
We were two families and booked this resort for 2 nights after doing a lot of research . It took us 8 hrs to reach here from Delhi, the journey was tiresome; but the resort instantaneously rejuvenated us.
Vanvasa, is not the resort , but the destination in itself. The flora and fauna of the place is inviting, would like to visit again for a longer duration.

This is my review based on my second stay here.

Ever since I stayed here a few years ago, and was completely mesmerized by the beauty of this place, I had wanted to bring my family here. For my earlier and a more comprehensive review, refer ...

Finally planned for a 3 night stay in May of 2022 with my family. 

I was pleasantly surprised and in awe (for the second time) of this huge resort, that has been built and maintained painstakingly by the staff, in such a remote area in the hills. 

The rooms or cottages are huge and spacious. The large windows on 2 walls bring the beauty of the beautiful surroundings inside your room, right to your bed. An extra person can easily stay in the room on the sofa cum bed. The balcony sit outs and rooms have chairs and tables from where me and my daughters enjoyed the scenery around, sipping endless cups of tea and coffee while reading our books. 

The food is yummilicious. Depending on the volume of guests the restaurant either dishes a-la-carte (with huge portion sizes) or buffet with lots of variety. They have a room service menu also. The evenings are made even more enjoyable with magic show for kids and live music. You can play badminton, table tennis (racquets provided in house), have a dip in the swimming pool or sit on the swings.

I was lucky to spot some wildlife around the resort including a small deer, a chitrola, many langurs and variety of birds. They can arrange a walk to the nearby village (which we enjoyed) or small treks in the surrounding hills. The entire staff is courteous and very polite.

In all it was a very enjoyable stay again at Vanvasa. I will want to come here again and again, for the unforgettable experience this place offers.

Vanvasa….. what a property… Simply Awesome.. if you are looking for a peaceful place Vanvasa should be final destination without say....
Rooms... sorry not room…these are big halls so much space and great balcony view of valley. Rooms & Washrooms were clean. Every person of their team is hard working, courteous and super helpful. Evenings were simply super with live Magic & live Music performances. Kids enjoyed swimming pool and other sports activities available in resort.
We were treated as Family members & not a guest..Thanks team Vanvasa for arranging such a beautiful holiday…Must visit Property. Will come again for sure…. All the Best Team Vanvasa.
