Ten minutes walk from the nearest beach this is a curious mixture of really good and quite bad!  Our room was clean and tidy, and the pool was lovely, but the general state of the place was very run down after years of neglect.  No sign of anything like a spa as listed on the site we booked on.  Parking is fine but on the street outside.  We asked for a simple breakfast of toast and coffee but the toast was half cooked and moist so we fed to the birds.  There seemed to be some refurbishment in progress so hopefully by 2025 this will see an overall improvement.  Friendly staff.

Lovely pool but mixed experience

A lovely place to stay! We had a wonderfully clean and spacious room with a huge balcony looking towards the sea with a beautiful sunset view.  The room and bathroom were very  very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. . Food was delicious. Great pool! A highly recommended place to stay.

Spacious Sea View Room

A view of the roaring Arabian sea from the first floor open restaurant of Petiti elephant at cherai Beach is a fantastic view especially at the time of June -July when the sea is turbulent and huge waves lashes at sea shore. Rooms are small, minimal restaurant service, service requires improvement. Rooms are clean and neat and there is a small pool also.

The staff are lovely at this Hotel, very friendly and helpful. The room are nice and the food is good both for breakfast and other paid meals.

Although the property is lovely with nice staff, nice food and a pool it is overpriced. Compared to other places it is almost double the price it should be for the standard offered.

In this price bracket you would expect more luxury and a larger room. A small fridge would be a huge benefit and again I would expect it at this price. The drinks in the hotel were expensive compared to other places, more than 2 times the cost. If you could bring your own back and keep them cool it would be a huge bonus.

The food was also expensive compared to other places and although it was nice food you could eat much cheaper if you travelled a mile to other restaurants.

The room was comfortable but lacked a few basics for this price range. No dressing table, not enough clothes storage, no mirror (other than in the bathroom), no where to sit in the room other than on the bed.

We were at this property for 10 days, had in been only a few days it would have been more acceptable but to pay this price with facilities lacking for 10 days was not so good.

Very nice hotel but doesn't match it's price

I liked this place, it's not huge, it's not busy. The room was exactly what I wanted, clean, large bed, a bit of a patio. The modern bathroom was spotless. There's not many rooms in the hotel and we did have a premium, not the best available and also not the worse. The pool was larger than appears on the photographs. Cycles and scooters were available to rent cheaply and reception were on hand 24 hours to call you a taxi or tuk tuk.
If you like Indian food the breakfast was substantial and perfectly acceptable. We only ate at the restaurant one evening in the week we were there, not because it was crap, but because there's loads of other places nearby and we wanted to try them all. We did eat lunch there most days, pineapple chat, bang on. 
The lady that runs the place couldn't have been more helpful, her sense of humour, her excellent English and her her willingness to please made the stay relaxing and enjoyable.
It's a pity a lot of the beach has been washed away, but we did swim every day. The Indian Ocean there is like a warm bath and there's nothing compares to falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves.

Small, intimate and a great way to meet other travellers

Very average place to stay on Cherai. The rooms are clean enough though.

Generally not kids friendly. Bed is small and cannot accommodate an extra kid.

Restaurant is with a very small menu which is manageable. Breakfast menu is also quiet simple.

Pool is ok and clean enough. But privacy is zero in the rooms. We had a bachelor hand who was noisy and drinking and it felt they were doing in our room.

Overall an average place, OK for the money ..... You have plenty of other options if you can afford more.

very close to the sea shore with a small swimming pool.. The property is small and very few rooms.. the inside of the room is clean and neat .. the view of the beach through the glass from the room is some thing to be enjoyed.
