I went to Budapest in January 2018 with my mom & dad for a Rod Stewart concert. From previous experiences, I knew it was best to try and find an apartment for the three of us, because it is usually cheaper than a good hotel.
The photos were okay, the price was really good, but I was still nervous, because I knew my parents could be a bit judgy of they didn’t like the place. But it was amazing! 
We stayed in the apartment located on Erkel Utca (it was the owner’s favourite, as she mentioned).
First of all, it looked even better than the pictures we found on Booking. Even tough the building was pretty old, the interior had new furniture, it was really clean (which is probably the most important issue) and it had all the appliances we could have needed. It was very spacious and it could accomodate up to 5 people without any worries.
I recognized most of the pieces of furniture, because I used to know the Ikea site by heart :) (I had recently decorated my own apartment).
The only problem was with the parking spaces. We had to leave our car in an underground parking, just a few blocks away and we only took it out the day we left.
The place was located wonderfully and we only had to walk 5 minutes to get to the Danube river, maybe 10 to reach the commercial street, with all the famous brands.
All in all, our experience was great and I would really recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the heart of Budapest!

Great apartment!

Apartment is situated only 100m from Great Market Hall, Liberty bridge and tourists bus stop. Clean, nice equipped. Good beds, free wifi in apartment, flat LCD, new bathroom. Parking place is appx 300m away in parking garage.

Nice appartment, close to city centre

Ideally located within walking distance of most major attractions, short trip on the metro to Szechenyi thermal baths. Apartment was located in an old residential building on a main road which looked dated from the outside and in the main staircase/lift area. Once inside the apartment it was anything but old and dated. 2 bedroom modern apartment with everything we could have needed during our stay. Fully fitted kitchen, modern bathroom, two large double bedrooms and large sitting area. Place was immaculately clean, added extras of a dishwasher and washing machine were useful. Our host Gabor was lovely and very helpful. Would definately recommend.

Great value

We stayed at the apartment at Királyi Pál utca.
The first impression of the apartment is great!
Modern furniture and most important of all - it's really clean. The kitchen has all that you will need during your stay. The toilet is new and squeeky clean which is something I find most important when I travel.
The location is good as well. It's close to Vaci street, to a 24/7 market and to an exchange office with a reasonable rate (30200huf for 100eur).
However, the building has a condominium concept, which means, there is a common area in the middle of it, like a hole between the blocks. The thing is, all the windows in this "train-like" apartment, face the coridors on the inside. So, if you keep your blinds up, your neighbours can see you sleep, eat or whatever you wanna do at home. The good thing is that with your blinds constantly shut, you won't be hot, considering the apartment has no A/C.
The building has the worst echo in the history of architecture, ergo, you hear everyone's bussines in your surrounding. And here's the biggest trick: while the house rules ask you too be quiet on the staircase, the agency fails to inform you that there is a metal-cutting workshop in the common area, right in the middle, that starts at 9am!
I am sorry I don't know the name of the machine that trows sparks when it cuts metal  (I think it's a grinder), but I can assure you, it's the worst sound that can wake you up while on your vacation!
And we were quiet on the staircase and in the apartment, not because of the house rules, but because we are well behaved, civilized people who consider other people needs and feelings.
Since other tenants didn't agree with the house rules, nor did the "house" itself, I can just say, staying there was a mistake.

Dissapointed

Terrible experience with this apartments.
The responsible arrived late and not nice mood.
A second floor without elevator that was not referred in the booking information (take your baggage and climb to the apartment.
Building conditions absolutely dirty. Very old and without maintenance.
The apartment not equipped at all. The bed was a joke!!!
I don´t recommend these apartments for sure. It can be the crash of your Budapest visit.
