Although reasonable by UK standards, this was our last and most expensive stay out of four hotels/apartments.

It is fairly remote and a taxi is needed from the port (6 euros) or airport (15 euros/5 mins) We knew that. Proximity to airport was a key factor.

Reception is the pool bar at the rear of the hotel. Check in was businesslike but as there are no instructions in the room I had to go back for the Wi-Fi code. Suggestion 1 : put something in each room with the Wi-Fi code on it.

The poolside loungers were all “reserved” or in use but a couple came free after half an hour or so. Suggestion 2 : remove some breakfast tables from airport side poolside after breakfast and put out a few more loungers.

Unluckily there were also no towels left and the poor young lady who had by now been left on her own in the pool bar/reception on her first day had to deal with it for us. She was very good and apologetic and was able to find us towels and offer us a drink to make up for it - can’t fault that.

Room : don’t know what they did in their 6 months off but it wasn’t decorating or cleaning. The chrome around the somewhat dated shower unit and the taps/shower head would look a lot better clean! 

General cleaning was not of the highest standard. I found somebody’s pill 💊 on the floor and there were hairs on the bathroom floor.

The aircon is rubbish. It says it is on 18 degs (the lowest it goes) but goes on and off at intervals and the room never reaches 18 and stays pretty warm/humid.

That all sounds negative and I could put the proximity of the airport as a negative but it’s not busy, it is interesting and it was why we chose it! On the other side of the hotel are spectacular views across the bay/ sea across Skiathos Town to the islands etc. 

Our apartment was well laid out, had a balcony in both sides (airport and sea view) had a hall, bedroom, lounge with fridge and a shower room/loo/wash hand basin. Loads of storage/wardrobe space.

Also, the buffet breakfast was the best range of hot and cold items we have had on this trip and of a very good quality. Some of the cakes and pastries were superb. 

The pool is small but pleasant and by the time we arrived, the water was warm.

300m down the hill is one of the best restaurants on Skiathos (Agnadio) and we can highly recommend that too.

As a one night stop after/before flights the points raised are not that unbearable and balanced out by the positives but especially due to these points and the location I wouldn’t recommend this as a longer stay destination

The views over the bay- are spectacular, you can even see the planes landing and taking off from the only airport runway overlooking a small beach - quite a show.
5 minutes drive from Skiathos Town although an ATV is recommended not only to explore the island itself but also to avoid the uphill return path to the hotel.
Very comfy beds, pillows, couch everything. We loved the apartment, it has everything you could possibly need and the view from the balcony is so nice.

The best restaurant in all Skiathos is within walking distance from Vigles - definitely try Agnadio - the reviews don't lie. The second best restaurant on the island (and also the most popular although not as good as Agnadio - is Marmita)

On a slight downside, although the breakfast is rich and has at least one different plate every day, its quality is not that good but I wouldn't necessarily say it's not worth it. 
The rooms definitely need an mosquito net

Still here until end of the week but I feel to write the review during my stay because is worth it. Amazing view from this location with all the see and Skiathos town in front of you, room very clean good breakfast friendly and supporting staff a place for leisure on the poll with such a great view !!! Beautiful home and good position,near at the port (5 minuts with scooter) but far of the chaos! wonderful view and perfect cleaning (2 Times in a week)everything was perfect!!the owner Is very kind

We have stayed here before four years ago.. from a positives point of view this place is great value for money, comfortable rooms which are very clean, great pool area and magnificent views.

The biggest negatives for us this time around is, firstly the service,  I feel during the day the service is sloppy from not cleaning towels and drinks away promptly around the pool area when people leave (albeit a towel bin for people to move their own would maybe help ?) 
But not cleaning tables after breakfast quickly and taking all the food and crumbs away off the table cloths, it’s not nice to sit down and see traces of other customers breakfast.   Well he biggest complaint we have is the breakfast.  Can I say firstly four years ago on our first visit the breakfast was excellent,  with a toast machine , fresh hot coffee and you could order your eggs so they were fresh, and good selection. 
This time...  what a difference....  coffee poor quality and cold,  eggs were cold and awful every morning they were just left in the terrine to go cold and rubbery they look awful ... why can’t the staff see this?  No toaster?   And variety poor.  What a shame how things have changed from four years ago!  Orange house poor quality and warm.      I would recommend either include breakfast and do it well,  or don’t bother. 

Otherwise property is great and fantastic value for money and would stay here again... but don’t bother having breakfast !

I am well travelled and seldom do I leave negative reviews and always try to see the good in everything but I was very disappointed with my stay here :(  

Upon arrival we felt the photographs we''d seen did not represent the hotel accurately.  The impression we got was that it was more towards high end, hence why we booked it, but there was nothing in the hotel to reflect this.  Our thoughts were echoed by a few guests staying at the same time.  Images make you believe you are a short distance from the town, it fails to show the vast countryside in-between the hotel and town. Although within walking distance or a 5 minute taxi ride, we felt secluded with nothing at all around us.  A car/quad is a must to get around. It is located at the top of a very steep hill which our quad even struggled with so I wouldn't recommend walking back up it.  The hotel has a car which can take you down and they seemed to encourage using that service rather than the islands taxis but we later found out we were being charged 10 euros for a 6 euro taxi ride. We had specifically asked for a room with a view and had been assured we had this, only to find we looked onto a childs play area.  We asked to be moved but this could not be accommodated.  Breakfast each morning was cold and empty plates not replenished.  Food from the pool bar was frankly unappetising and drinks expensive, but we had no choice as we were too far from the restaurants to just go and grab a snack.  The room was very dark but it was clean with a nice hot shower, clean linen everyday and a good powerful air-con system.  However, the bathroom needed some maintenance as the seal was broken on the shower and mould in the corner of the shower tray and there was no key for the safety deposit box.  It is a shame that I am leaving such a negative review but feel potential guests should have an honest view before booking.  As with anything, I'd advise to read all reviews and make your own mind up.  I wouldn't stay here again but I would certainly recommend their sister hotel, La Piscine Art which I visited.  PS get the hotel to collect you from the airport on arrival to avoid queues! Its worth paying the extra.  There are only 20 taxis on the island and this was chaotic!

Totally different to what was expected

We stayed at this lovely hotel between July and August 2018 for only 3 days. having known it was so beautiful we would have modulated our vacation differently! The best part is definitely the swimming pool with its beautiful deckchairs, matching towels, and the bar with a delicious Nescafé Frappé (φραπές), one of the best ever drunk! the breakfasts then were really varied and delicious with a nice mix of sweet and savory things. The room was really clean. Very attentive and courteous staff.

What more do you want from life? :)

Clean nice appartment with friendly and helpful owners. Beds hard but comfy. good cooking facilities. Day long sun but shutters and air conditioning keep it cool. The view over Skiathos Town; over to Skopelos and the airport (flights not too often) is great. You do need a car,
