I had an awful experience at this establishment. The staff had a terrible attitude and treated the place as if it was their own. If you have a complaint, it's sure to spread to all other staff members. They don't know how to treat guests in a 5-star manner. Despite making multiple complaints, I received no response. The staff will overcharge and have a bad attitude. They don't even provide pencils or child-friendly amenities, so the breakfast they advertise is awful. I didn't eat any breakfast during my entire stay and ended up walking to a bakery in the end. The reception and reservation staff are inexperienced and don't know how to deal with paying customers. From start to finish, it was just awful. There were discrepancies with bills and charges. Dog barking in bear by room from staff member all night. Bar staff taking money for boat trips tgst do not exist. Apparently, because I didn't discuss them at check-out, I'm not able to justify my opinion now. I'm not trying to be oppositional, but if this stops even one person from going to this establishment abd spending there hard earned cash! I will have achieved my point. Don't waste your energy on this place.

This is not 5 star so don’t waste your time!

Hotel is beautiful.  Service is exceptional!  Food at the restaurant is excellent and they cater to their guests.  Ask for John - he makes an amazing cafe mocha is give EXCEPTIONAL client service.  A+ experience!  The pool is beautiful with great outdoor space.  The front desk gave awesome recommendations and saved us $$ using taxied they ordered over the tour company.

Loving Santorini

Excellent hotel. Good location , good breakfast . Rooms were very nice and staff was excellent ( thank you Leo)
Unfortunately , we had to cut short our trip due to air traffic controller strike in Greece and the hotel was very accommodating and understanding and refunded us partially which was appreciated.
Would highly recommend and will plan to visit again soon!

Excellent!

We had a wonderful time at the De Sol Spa Hotel! The staff were all very nice, accommodating, and provided excellent service. The resort grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. A fantastic view of the ocean can be seen all around. 

Our suite was large, clean, and the daily housekeeping was good. We went to the spa several times and the services provided were good, but surprisingly nothing special.  They offer a very good variety at breakfast. The outside restaurant has a nice view and the food was good. My only complaint is with the electronic music they play. It just wasn't appropriate for the restaurant at all. 

Overall, the service was great and the money was well spent. I highly recommend the De Sol Spa Hotel.

Great place!!!

Lovely beautiful hotel outside Fira with views of the ocean. Warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome. Room was warm and comfortable for winter and the bedding was soft. The bathtub with standing shower was great with good water pressure. Minor blemishes in maintenance (slightly rusty mirrors and loose light switches). Delicious a la carte made to order breakfast served daily and dinner from the Seven restaurant was of a high quality. The same dinner menu was also available for room service. The gym was fully equipped with a rack, boxing bag, free weights and equipment. Airport transfers and island tour organised through the hotel provided great service. Wish the WiFi was more reliable and faster - it kept disconnecting frequently and only got better late at night (after 10pm).

Quiet tranquil stay

Hotel is set a couple of kilometres away from Fira, which is ideal if you don't want to be in the thick of the hustle and bustle and the hotel provides a free shuttle into Fira. 
Not much in the way of bars and eateries nearby and hotel drinks and food are a tad expensive €18 euros for 2 beers and similar price for a sandwich though the food was nice ...but if you are willing to walk about 20 minutes there's a great brewery that serves great food and the staff are amazing. 
Back to the hotel, the pool is amazing, especially the floating loungers, and this time of the year, not many people around or screaming children.
The room was lovely, a big, comfy bed, cleaned daily. What let it down was the bathroom, which was tired, especially the bath and doors that needed a lick of paint and looked grubby. Just a shower curtain and odd angle of the shower, which resulted in wet bathroom floors.
There was no mirror in the bedroom and the bathroom mirror didn't have sockets for hairdryers.
 Fridge and safe . Great balcony .
Clean fluffy towels each day.Mini bar is extra.
Great views down over the village to the sea.
Grounds are immaculate, breakfast lovely, and plentiful. Reception staff are great though some of the restaurant staff are surly.
€15 euros in a cab from Fira or a good 35-minute walk, though not proper pavements, so be careful as it is a busy road.
You can catch a bus into fira from outside the hotel for less than €2, from fira, you can catch a bus anywhere, Oia, Kamari, and Perissa.
Sister Hotel across the Road has amazing views the Volcano view hotel, but rooms are set into the rocks and not much private space and lots of steps.

Lovely hotel with great grounds just a bit of attention required in the bathrooms.

Lovely hotel set away from the hustle and bustle of Fira

Fantastic hotel no faults. Rooms just great bed was very comfortable and style homely. Very clean. Staff extra friendly nothing was to much trouble  and predicted needs. Spa one of the best. Restaurant extraordinary. Would not hesitate to book again. Much more than 5 stars.

Amazing in every aspect

We loved our stay at De Sol, Fira, honestly one of my favourite hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms are lovely, huge comfy beds, good aircon, gorgeous white marble floor in the hotel and the staff are all so lovely. The pool is beautiful, great view and so quiet, always plenty sunloungers. More sunloungers are available with a view overlooking the sea and shallow foot dipping pool. There is also the more expensive sister hotel across the road which overlooks the sunset and you can go for drinks. The food and drink is amazing, a little bit pricey but expected for the quality of hotel. Only suggestions are the wifi can be a little slow at times and it would be good if the hotel recycled. The hotel is a bit further out (30 min walk or 5 min taxi ride from Fira) but free shuttle buses run 5x per day from the hotel to Fira and back. Taxis can be expensive in Santorini (€15 for 5 minute ride) so it’s better to plan around the shuttles if possible. The staff are all so accommodating and go out their way to help. Breakfast is included in the price and there is so much option and iced lattes are included. Also they have plant based milk alternatives such as oat and almond!! Highly recommend De Sol and we will be back next time we return to Santorini!

Beautiful hotel just outside Fira, lovely staff and comfortable rooms, amazing views

Two duplicate bookings were made for same room, same pax and same checkin dates. 

The customer was given keys for only 1 room on checkin and was advised to check with the booking travel agency for refund for double booking.

However, the hotel is refusing to refund money for the second room and sold the other room to some other customer

The hotel already knew there were two duplicate bookings made whilst the booking was fully refundable, but due to mal practices decided not to let the customer know about the double booking whilst it was still cancellable. They only decided to let customer know about double booking on checkin date. And further only gave one set of room keys even though she was charged for two rooms.

The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant servers were very attentive and professional.

The restaurant however is subpar and disappointing, particularly given the prices. There were three of us, and each ordered a different meal.  All three meals lacked any signicant flavor.
