Wtat a wonderful guesthouse in Kythira Chora with beautifully appointed traditional rooms, clean and comfortable. Amazing views from our terrace and balcony. The best location in Chora ( town) quite and pleasant. Probably the best place to stay in Kythira town

Wonderful stay in Kythira Chora

Great place to stay in Kythira, beautiful building, great bedrooms, fantastic location, all so close by, on foot. Very helpful Mr. Panagiotis the owner, Nice homemade breakfast. Would love to go again.

The Nostos Guesthouse is a quaint, clean, and friendly place to stay. It is in a perfect location in Chora and the hosts are wonderful. They gave us great recommendations for fun things to do and see on the island. We had a wonderful experience and I would recommend staying here.

Great experience

Nostos is an atmospheric traditional hotel with nice decorated rooms. The owner is very welcoming always willing to help you. The location is great at the heart of the town. The rooms are spacious but the toilet is somehow small. A disadvantage is that the rooms haven't any balcony except for one or two which have extremely small ones, There is also free wifi available and breakfast if you request so. The breakfast was an average one, I would like greater variety. Concluding I would recommend that hotel for its exceptional style, the hospitality and the fair value.

Traditional rooms with great decorations at a great location

Initially we were a little skeptical about staying at Nostos - mostly due to the images on the web. Let me begin by saying that the pictures do not do justice to the little guesthouse.
 It is very conveniently situated in Chora with beautiful views of the castle and Kapsali (if you are lucky enough to get the balcony room which is slightly more expensive but well worth it!). The room is spacious and comfortable, the decor is very carefully attended to. I was happily surprised to find that we had cable TV (Nova) and free Wifi. There is also a tiny supermarket a few steps away. At night, although it is situated on the main pedestrian path and you can actually cross through to get to the Castle, it is quiet. 
The service at breakfast is welcoming and very hospitable. I also enjoyed the greek delicacies on offer. The room is always clean and tidy. 
We loved Nostos and would thoroughly recommend it! 

Excellent choice of accomodation

Nostos Guesthouse is a delightful small hotel, and is a perfect complement to a holiday on Kythira.

Kythira is a very beautiful and quiet island, and has not been taken over by mass tourism.  The island experience is authentic and welcoming, with a strong local culture and traditions.  

In many ways, this description also sums up our experience at the Nostos Guesthouse.  It is a small and very beautiful family-owned hotel in a quiet village of Kythera (Chora) near the beach of Kapsali.   The hotel is located in a fantastic setting on the top of a hill, overlooking the sea, a castle, and the Cycladic-style buildings of the village.  

The rooms are very elegantly furnished in an antique style, and are well-maintained.  We were fortunate to have a room with multiple balconies, including an extremely spacious balcony facing the castle and sea.  

The service was welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, from our arrival to the wonderful breakfasts served in the main room of the hotel.  You felt a strong sense of the local culture from staying at the hotel, based on the friendly and personal service, the delicious local food and the traditional furnishings.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Kythira, and would gladly return for another visit to the hotel and island.

This is a very good choice for accomodation at Kythira. A boutique hotel with a handful of good size, well decorated rooms. The only drawback is the breakfast which is very average and in my opinion should include more options.
