One night stop on our way to Italy. Great surroundings for a hike if we had time. Great meal. Both the schnitzel and the cordon bleu were delicious.
Comfortable and clean beds. Good shower.
Interior is slightly dated but has good charm because of it.

Passing through

If you want an authentic experience of staying in the Black Forest, this place will do it for you. The owners are friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is perfect for exploring locally (e.g. Schloss Burgeln) and for a foray into France (e.g. Colmar) and Switzerland (e.g. Zurich or Basel). The food in the restaurant was varied and delicious. Some of the rooms have balconies. There is ample parking on site. The only downside I can think of is that there is no elevator, and some of the rooms are one or two flights of stairs up.

A gem of a place!

The Landgasthof Graf, a country inn is located in a quiet farming village not far from Basel. The Markgräflerland is a popular tourist destination during the cherry blossom season. End of April the nice weather allowed to dine on the terrace. 
The standard double room #23 was prepared for single use. Ii is spacious with rustic furnishings. The room was newly renovated and the bed offered a good night's sleep. The room and the bathroom were spotless clean. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin. Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. 
Unfortunately, the hotel has no elevator. The rooms are all on the first floor. 
The menu is limited to schnitzel. Steaks and roasts. I ordered a Sauerbraten which was excellently prepared. The dishes are freshly prepared, which explains also relatively long wait. The portions are generous.  The prices somehow reflect already the higher price levels of nearby Switzerland but remain fair. 
The breakfast buffet was rather dull and easily expandable.

Nice country inn with traditional German food

7 of us stayed here for 1 night on our way to Italy.
The scenery and surrounding area is beautiful....we loved all the lodge type buildings and greenery when we took a little walk around the village 
The hotel itself was really quaint with on site parking, friendly staff, and a great restaurant for an evening meal (we were lucky with the weather so enjoyed sitting out on the covered verandah). Rooms were clean and generous in size with a lovely little balcony.
Breakfast was good and set us up for a day of driving. 
All in all, this was the perfect stop off for us...i only wish we'd had another night there. 

Summer visit

This guesthouse is located in a very quiet and cute village in the German countryside. Our room was nice and spacious with a good sized bathroom (just a slight criticism, there were a few dead insects that should have been removed prior to our arrival). The restaurant downstairs was just great, typical, hearty and traditional dishes and with very reasonable prices, in fact it was full of locals which is always a good sign. The breakfast was very nice, they even had croissants which are a rarity in Germany. The breads and jams were just fantastic and the lovely lady also brought our dog some water and biscuits. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Lovely guesthouse with great food

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel located in a small German town off of the main path. Hotel has plenty of good free  parking.   There was no elevator and when we were initially given a dark third floor room and no balcony we complained as it was not acceptable and was immediately given a nice room 2nd floor room in the adjoining building with balcony. Rooms are small but comfortable and very basic with no amenities such as hot water pot or mini refrigerator.  Also small TV but a good selection of program channels to  watch. WIFI was adequate with a 3.8 MBPS signal up and down which would stream video on occasion.  

The Germany breakfast buffet was adequate with eggs to order; however, it contained no hot meet such bacon or sausage.   We also enjoyed the excellent Sauna and shower.  

At 90e per night the room was not a good value but it was clean, more than met our needs, and we will probably consider staying here for a couple of days next year as well.
