Kaiserhof

Location location location! The Kaiserhof could not be any better positioned for those traveling by train and interested in downhill skiing. The Kaiserhof has everything you could want in a hotel. Large comfortable room (granted, we had a junior suite) with soft bed and nice bedding, delicious breakfast with every option you could desire, super friendly and helpful staff and so much more! Viktoria at the reception desk as well as the other staff were welcoming and helpful. Gabriella the bartender welcomed us graciously each evening. Not only is the hotel about 70 steps from the train station and 50 steps from the Hannenkamm lift, there are numerous restaurants and bars very close by. Another few steps and you are in the heart of the delightful town. Another nice feature for the hotel is the separate entrance for easy access to the secure ski and boot storage. Its location also saves you a few steps uphill with your gear. Everything is completely walkable, even for ‘old folks’. The city could use some wider sidewalks and improved traffic patterns for walking. We found ourselves crossing the street excessively to stay in the proper flow. Obviously this is not a problem with the hotel but it is the only negative I can speak of. The pool and spa area seemed delightful but we did not spend any time in those spaces.
