A reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location.

Berlin was our last stop in Germany before heading back to Denmark. We were travelling with our Danish cousins and this was the first time in Berlin for us. We were staying for three nights which, considering the things to see and do, was a bit on the lean side. We chose the Hotel Am Buschkrugpark based on its reasonable rates, and of course, its good reviews. It is situated a bit out of the city centre, about 15 minutes to Alexanderplatz, but there is a  transit line located nearby. Nice to be able to leave your vehicle at the hotel and hop on to the public transit. It is located in the popular district of Neukolln, a destination featuring good access to restaurants and shops, and the hotel is located just across the street from Park AmBuschkrug. So really, the best of both worlds! 
Hotel Am Buschkrugpark's 25 rooms offer comfort and conveniences like cable tv, room safe, minibar, free wifi, etc, There is free parking and the hotel offers a very sumptuous breakfast buffet. This is a good alternative to staying out of the more expensive city centre. 
I have two nearby food recommendations to make. If you desire good Greek food, there is a good restaurant situated a few blocks from the hotel. Or if you wish for what is, perhaps the best burger ever, cross the street to the Imbiss situated right on the park! 
The gist of all this is, the Hotel Am Buschkrugpark is a definite yes. Just remember, you are staying here because you want to visit Berlin, not to necessarily stay at the Hotel Am Buschkrugpark. I am recommending the hotel because it is cheaper than a hotel closer into the city centre. Maybe this doesn't matter. Regardless, go to the tourist bureau to get information on what to see and do! 

A good Berlin alternative.

The hotel is good, nothing too much for this price.
The room was okay, the staff was polite, and they also speak English
I had a slight problem with the air conditioner in my room, but it got fixed relatively fast. Overall the hotel is good, but don't expect too much its regular city hotel for a good price.

Good hotel for the price.

Stayed for 2 night business trip. Clean basic hotel with minimal facility.  Breakfast good. No air conditioning in room but had fan. Beside busy road so noisy at night.  Take ear plugs. But no complaints. 

Basic hotel but fine

The hotel was used for a business trip and was adequate for bed and breakfast but had no food facility at evenings nor a bar or minibar. Would prefer not to stay here again but, having said that it was convenient and clean. The staff were helpful also which is always good.

Small clean hotel with access to motorway

on a business trip the hotel was ok..clean rooms, the breakfast was good the stuff helpfull. Quiet area easy access from the motorway..The only problem with the  locked mini bar. Since there is no open restaurant in the hotel there was no way to keep a cold drink in the room for the 5 days we stayed there..Over all a good value for money.

The location is far from center: you'll have to walk 10 minutes to the U-Bahn, then take a ride of 40 minutes (change the trains once). The hotel is somewhat old, the carpeting is a bit dirty. The personal is very friendly though noone speaks English. The breakfast is good. For 30 euros I paid (the hotel regularily is sold for 60-80 euros) - sounds like a good deal, but if you are able to get something for 50 euros close to the center - do not save and take a better location.


OK for 30 euros

My daughter, 3 year old granddaughter and myself had the misfortune to stay at this hotel recently.  The hotel is a nightmare  -  dingy dismal cramped rooms, dirty bedding and the staff  -  well what can I say!  Apart from a helpful German lady on reception on the evening of our arrival, the rest were a nightmare!  They were actually threatening and aggressive to me, in front of my family and demanded that I pay for my booking (which I had already done!).  They then stated that they had not confirmed my booking and had no rooms available.  When I produced my confirmation (received by e-mail from the hotel directly) they had egg on their faces.   No-one spoke English and I was fortunate that I speak German  -  God help anyone who has the bad luck to stay at this hotel and doesn't!

This hotel should be closed down immediately  -  it is the worst place I have ever stayed in and the worst service I have ever received.  It is also situated in the middle of nowhere with no transport links close by.

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU STAY AT THIS HOTEL  -  IT IS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
