Lovely people, spacious caravans and a great cafe, too. 
After one of the friendliest welcomes ever, my son and I put our stuff in the caravan. At 1.9m I'm the short one but there was enough space for both of us. We took a drink from the cafe to the courtyard and then explored the neighbourhood, which had a tiny independent cinema/restaurant, fantastic junk shop and an Ethiopian restaurant. Plenty more but I don't want to spoil the surprises for you.
Everything was perfect.

Feel at home in the centre of Berlin

Overall, very clean, spacious, and quiet in Berlin. Very convenient and good value if you want to be in Kreuzberg/Neukölln. 

I stayed in one of the private hotel rooms, which was nice and well-appointed, but much less charming than the cabins and caravans (which don't have private baths). It was a little tricky for me to figure out the heat, but once I did, the room was toasty. The bed was firm - a bit hard for me, but that's better than too soft. Good coffee (senseo system) in the room. No TV but I couldn't care less.

I found it a little odd that the small shower stall had neither door nor curtain - the area of the bathroom just outside the stall got very wet. But the water pressure was strong and hot water was very hot - the bathroom was excellent other than that one issue of not having a door or curtain on the stall. 

There is a very nice-looking little garden, but the weather was cold and largely rainy while I was there.

The main reason I give it less than five stars is the limited check-in and reception hours. No on-site service beyond 9am-6pm, and late check-in is only possible until 10pm. (Early check-out is fine.) That did require me to choose an earlier and more expensive flight than I would have liked. This is clear on their website but it wasn't on the booking site that I used. (They did mention it immediately when I made the booking. If it had been a big problem for me, I could have canceled with no charge.) The staff I did have contact with were friendly and helpful, and late check-in was very easy with advance notice.

Clean, spacious rooms in the middle of Neukölln; minimal though friendly staffing

... just loved it. If you are looking for something different, this is the place to be. Great! Property makes you feel very safe, it is very clean, everyone nice... And if you love camping, this is also the place to stay. Highly recommend it!

Tucked away on an unassuming street near Alexanderplatz is this original hotel concept: a vast former warehouse hosting hotel rooms and ....vintage campers! We stayed in one of the hotel rooms only because they were the only rooms to have a private bathroom but I really wanted to experience one of the adorable campers.
Our room was still very impressive:high ceiling, comfy bed and pillows, recently redecorated to a high standard. Very quiet, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast the next morning was super,too. We could tell everything was done lovingly here.

Loved it!

Really enjoyed staying here. Besides the regular hotel rooms that they offer, they also have small caravans that are pretty quirky and cozy. They are a bit tight which doesn't make changing very easy but definitely not an issue for 1 or 2 days. The shared bathrooms in the caravan area are very clean. Also enjoyed using the communal garden areas. I would recommend this hotel for couples or groups of friends! 

Fun, relaxed stay 

We stayed only one night, the city was packed and it was a crazy hunt to find good places at a reasonable price.
The concept is great and the caravans super nice. We got a kind of a cabin and it was comfortable. The staff is great and communication was also very good prior to our arrival.
The only thing is that, as it is a common space, I got awaken by a sir snoring really loud, if you are a light sleeper definitely bring earplugs.
Bathroom is shared but it is SUPER clean.
We had a great night overall, area is also really cool with lots of nice places to eat/drink.

Nicely Different

Very friendly staff and great location, with easy access to the city center as well as the airport. We were amazed with design concept of the place itself.  Just what we needed for get away weekend - strongly recommend.

Outstanding place!

when we were visiting Berlin with my two young sons (ages 6 &9) towards the end of our nearly 3 weeks business trip they were sick of staying at hotels. So I simply googled to find something little out of the ordinary.
And this is it. Especially if you are like me and do not like camping, this place offers you the best of both worlds.
Imagine a space like a warehouse, so you are indoors with heating, proper toilets and showers, beds, towels etc. But you are sleeping in cabins or "nostalgic" caravans.
We chose to stay at th3 "castle" where two beds in the actual cabin and 2 up in the tower.
They do have a cafe where you can have a reasonably priced and rather yummy breakfast. They also have some basic bread as well as tea and coffee included with the price.
The people who hosted us were simply wonderful, from the first email to the last goodbye.
I can't wait to visit this place with the rest of our family again, soon.

For those who are looking with extra pizzazz.

Located in the former DDR side of Berlin is Huettenpalast. When you first pull up to the building there are no hints of the secrets hidden within. As soon as you walk through the lobby you enter a small garden, hidden from the outside world. This tranquil place is situated in what looks like a former factory. It provides a good spot for people to eat breakfast, and take a breather after a long day of exploring Berlin.

The sleeping quarters are right next to the garden, and are formed as either small campers or lodges. The size isn't huge, and provides only the necessary stuff like beds or electrical sockets. There's also free wifi provided.

All in all i would recommend a stay at Huettenpalast.

Small oasis, hidden in Berlin

We discovered this place on a blog of interesting places to check out in Berlin, and I'm glad we did. It is definitely one of the more unique hotels I've ever stayed in! The reception and check-in was great, with friendly service and good recommendations for the area. As you'd expect, the caravans are small but comfortable, and there are ample communal spaces (reading room, terrace) to make it seem larger. The WC and showers are communal but extremely clean.
The breakfast (available for 10 Euros/person) was excellent as well. Quick and easy option before heading out to explore the immensity that is Berlin.
It's great to see so many old caravans (which were presumably headed for the scrapyard) repurposed and given a new life. My only word of caution is that, being older caravans, they are not very soundproof. So you may hear your neighbors snoring - or whatever else they get up to.
