Nice, clean, well located (on the way to mount Kazbek, but not far from the centre). The breakfast was delicious, the owner really friendly and helpful. The only problem was that the water was not always warm.

Our treatment was fair, comfortable and I highly recommended.
Enough food to recover from a trek or to get full energy to start. Room was clean and shared toilets as well. in general we had a good atmosphere and treatment.

September 2018 staying in Nazi's guesthouse

We were in Stepantsminda to climb mount Kazbek and needed a simple, non-expensive yet good place to stay before and after the climb. Nazy’s Guesthouse was exactly what we wanted. Easy access from the main road, double room with privat bath, simple, good Wifi, warm water, basic and clean. Nazy was a very nice and charming lady who prepared a nice Georgian dinner for us as well as an excellent breakfast early in the morning before we left for the climb. The outstanding juice tomatoes I will never forget. The dinner table is right in Nazy’s little kitchen were all the guests mingle and exchange their travel stories. 

Perhaps it would be good if Guest House Nazy would invest in a simple webpage. As for now I really had to do some searching before I could find and book it.

A friendly place to stay

On a cold evening arriving to Kazbegi, we called Nazi on our way. Unlike the others we called, she spontaneously agreed to host us and prepare us some food.
Nazi's Guesthouse, reading from Lonely Planet and other reviews on the net is highly recommended, so that we didn't have any doubts.
Nazi prepared dinner in no time, she and her husband are very friendly and helpful. The house itself though, is in a very bad state, it is cold and the heating isn't working well, the windows and the doors aren't sealed well. The showers and toilets are hardly working and everywhere is mold to be found - one of the reasons, why we decided to leave after one night. The beds are old and worn out, practically sinking while sleeping on them. 
Knowing well that Georgia isn't western Europe and Nazi's Guesthouse not a five hotel, I still think this one of the worst guesthouses I have ever visited. I have visited other guesthouses in Georgia and their standard was much higher and they didn't charge extra. 
Our experience was worsened as we we're about to pay - Nazi charged more than what we had agreed upon. We paid without argument and wouldn't have had a problem paying the sum, if Nazi had discussed it with us beforehand. This poor behavior left us with a bad taste. 
I struggle to understand how can anyone recommend this place. Nazi and her husband are building a house at the moment to hopefully accommodate a new guesthouse. I hope that this turns out better.

Overall bad experience at Nazi's Guesthouse

We have spent one night at Nazi's during our trip to Khazbegi.  Although we were arriving quite late, Nazi was so kind to host us on very short notice. However, the appartment was not in a good state: doors in the (shared) bathroom were broken and impossible to close. Moreover there was a lot of (stinking) mold in the bathroom, the matresses in the beds we were offered were truly worn out and the food quality was (in comparison to all other places we visited in Georgia) at best mediocre. Given the not-too-expensive price, I could tolerate these things. But what I really found not OK was the mercenary behaviour of Nazi. While we agreed on 20 GEL (8 EUR) per person for the night plus 10 GEL (4EUR) for dinner, we did not agree beforehand on the price for breakfest, assumeing that it was included in the room or perhaps the usual 5 GEL. However, at our departure she charged another 20 GEL (8 EUR!) per person for the very simple breakfast provided (Nescafé, bread, jam, little cheese), thus making the breakfast twice the price of dinner, and doubling the price of the room.
