Hotel just perfect for our needs and staff amazing we loved it,the location is ideal for the beaches,just a short stroll into town,The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and not expensive.
Forgot to mention the continental breakfast,just great

Have recently returned from a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Sables 'Or.  Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.  Nothing was too much trouble, even a kettle was supplied on request.   

The hotel itself was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and good shower.  There was a safe in the room and air con worked very well, much appreciated as it was in the 30s during our stay.  We booked a room with a terrace which I would highly recommend.   Breakfast was a combination of fresh bread, croissants with a good selection of preserves, marmalade, honey etc.  Also yoghurt, cheese and lots of very fresh fruit.  Well worth it as it was not expensive.  Bags are also supplied if wanted in case you wish to take anything with you for later.

Location is very close to glorious sandy beaches and a good selection of eateries.  The town of Sete is a pleasant walk of about a mile but is also served by very regular buses from just outside the hotel.  Buses in France are very affordable at euro 1.30 with multi passes available from an office in town.

Happy to recommend this hotel and hopefully will return in the not too distant future as Sete is a unique and interesting place.

Amazing little hotel. Friendly staff, good AC, great location and a good price. Would highly recommend for WorldWide Festival visitors.

Near to La Ola beach and the Theatre Del Mar which was perfect for the festival.

Next to a Carrefour Express too which is super handy.

Nice hotel not in the busiest section but busy enough to enjoy. A walk or a bus to the busy downtown of Sète. Nice rooms. Try to face the street if you can and try for upstairs. Nice breakfast. All.is very safe as to covid. Great staff. Great TV. Would stay there again. Sete is beautiful and all is very accessible. 

Great location 

Hotel is very clean, location is good, but a bit boring to my taste. Five minutes walk to the public beach. Great value for the price. Nice places to eat nearby. Overall, very satisfactory. Free parking nearby.

Pleasant quiet place, 5' walk to the beach

We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but ended extending to 6 which was accommodated by the hotel. 

The location is great for both the beaches as much as the centre with options to walk, bycicle or take 3 different bus lines. 

Within 5 mins there are multiple banks, super markets, a pharmacy, a wine shop, a bakery, some of the best rated restaurants in Sete & a small secluded beach (went for a sunrise swim at 6). 

The staff are SUPER helpful and friendly at all times. Whether it’s a kettle, some plates, glasses, change of check out, bus info, print outs etc etc - nothing is an inconvenience and everyone welcomes you with a smile! 

The rooms are basic but have efficient showers and comfortable beds - walls are on the thin side but if you had a long day out you won’t notice much and sleep well. 

Will return next time in Sete! Thank you team at Sable Dor!

Best of both worlds (beach / town) - amazing staff & hospitality

I would thoroughly recommend this 2* hotel which exceeded our expectations in every way. All the staff (from the reception staff to the catering assistants) were absolutely charming and went out of their way to be helpful. The place had been completely refurbished recently to a very high standard and was clean, light, pleasantly furnished and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom superb. Breakfast was cheerfully served and offered plenty of variety. We were very glad to have chosen a base on the Corniche (about a mile from the main town, but the walk along the corniche is very pleasant), as it was much quieter and parking (on street) easy.

An excellent comfortable and peaceful base from which to explore Sete

Stayed for a week. Started with a very warm welcome from Fiona on reception who gave us all the information we required. Jean-Marc was also very charming and welcoming. We were advised of the free parking which was in the streets surrounding the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every day of our stay and it was excellent value at 8 euros each. Croissants, baguettes, big assortment of potted jams/marmalade/honey, cheese, tomatoes, cereal, yogurt, plenty of fresh fruit and great coffee and tea and orange. It was all served at our table by the very cheerful breakfast hostess. All the food was of the  highest quality. There are a number of high quality restaurants within a short walking distance. Sete and the beaches are also close by.

2 star hotel with a 5 star welcome

We spent 6 nights at this thoroughly delightful hotel & look forward to our next visit. Jean-Marc & his staff couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. We decided to chose a top-story room with balcony overlooking the Place where, to our delight, market day took place on Thursday morning. If you can, do try to be there. The bed was very comfortable, the room quite large by European standards, and the bathroom functioned well. We liked the clean simplicity of our entire little apartment. No frills. Breakfast was superb---all was fresh & delicious. We liked having a nice little supermarket right across the street & of course everything was easily walkable or drivable. This place deserves its accolades.

Great hotel, a bargain for what you get.
Jean-Marc and his team are very helpful, efficient and polite. Nothing is too much trouble.
Fantastic location as well. Perfect for exploring the beach or strolling into town.
A bonus (for anyone who knows the Corniche area) is a Carrefour Mini supermarket has opened across the road, which is a good alternative to probably the most expensive supermarket in France, Canovas et Fils!
