Great wee place vaule for money was unreal.
Mostly half the price of all other places and the cabin they gave us had everything you needed and more.
Bed bit small as I am 6ft but still done job for what wee needed.  Would best if you had transport as its a wee bit from town

Enjoyed our stay here, extending our stay by 4 nights. Reception was perfect, young lady jolly and helpful, just right here. Our 4 berth mobile home was cosy, but there was no excess space, not much room around the beds for example, and pretty close to neighbours, so considerate neighbours have to be hoped for. We particularly wanted somewhere close to la Rochelle, and this was ideal. Nice country walk nearby, great for our dog. The mobile home was clean and well equipped, only item we could think to be added would be a hair dryer. Beds are a good size, comfortable, and new duvets were supplied.

Nice site a short distance from la Rochelle

This little site we used for a one night stop over. We booked two cabins. Staff very polite and welcoming. Small pool by the entrance with little bar adjacent. The food was ok at the car but mainly burgers pizza etc. Definately recommend for a stop over.

Great for one nighter

A once small friendly site for camping has now turned into a much larger, hectic place without the necessary investment in facilities. The pool, at peak times, it's much too small now even though it isn't very old. 
Cabins are expensive and even the top ones are quite basic with some old and worn equipment. They are positioned very close together and you can hear every step that your neighbours take and their voices carry terribly. 
The restaurant is no more than a small bar serving pizzas and a basic range of snacks, it has a terrace and more tables under cover of a tent like structure. The staff try hard but the girl who cooked out pizzas seemed to be quite grumpy, until that is two local men turned up and she was all smiles with them. 
A a lot of reviews say it would be fine for a one or two night stopover mid trip but not for the whole week. Campsites in this area are few and far between (lots on the island though) so limited choice. We have stayed here four times and will not be going back again sadly. 

A site that's grown too much.

This was fine for a one-night stopover, thought camping car area is newly laid out and planted and at this stage provides no shade.  The walk to the sea was more than the promised 800m - we had to turn back before we reached it because it was getting dark!

Reasonable campsite with good amenities, particularly the pool

Spiders in the bed and bedroom.  The small cabin looked ok at first. However, when going to bed we found a big spider in the cushion, and a couple more around the window.  It is ok to have some small spiders, but these were big.  Seems like the cleaning is not done thoroughly.. to allow these spiders to come some freely into the house. not a pleasant stay.

Should clean better

left a key for a one bed when we booked a three bed, A man came quickly from his house and was very helpful but we still had to wait twenty minutes but he did give us free bottle of wine and bedding, Had to fix the toilet flush as it wouldn't stop  running , Had to spend time figuring out how to get the boiler working,  3 different beds have broken and the smell of damp in the bedrooms, A nice place , Dated play area for the children and walking spots , It seems that the site is full of passing tradesman with there vans. As a tradesman my self i am sure it would be fine but be aware. No family orientated in our option, Nothing to do with he campsite but you wont be able to get takeaway food delivered here as no one will come this far but to collect its only about a 3k drive.

Where do i start...

This "campsite" was given to us in exchange for a villa. We were given 4 2bedroom chalets as an exchange. We shouldn't have accepted as this was not what we were looking for in a holiday. The chalets are OK equipped for a couple of nights stay. We wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing. This place is very cramped. The chalets are packed very close together and cars have to be parked in front of them. There is nowhere for children to play outside other than a little playground for up to 3year old children. There is no grassed area at all so nowhere to play ball games or anything. It is a 25minute drive to la Rochelle although a nearby CoOp sells expensive emergency essentials. 
The pool. Right by the entrance  of the site, says it can hold up to 128people. I find this shocking as when there were 40 bossy and aggressive locals in there, I pulled my children out. This was nowhere near the chalets so lots of trips had to be made back and forth as the children were not allowed drinks by the pool. Great in the august heat.
 Two of the six children we had on our trip also got coldsores after being in the pool. A reaction to chemicals or just poor hygiene I'm unsure.
The chalets had utensils and an oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Great with one plug! You have no bed sheets and bad quality pillows... Definitely bring your own! There was a shower in each room which I do admit to being very good. Nice water pressure and a fair size unit considering how cramped they are. I don't understand how they can justify the sofa in the living room to be called a sofa bed... It's leatherette and tiny! 
You can hear EVERY SINGLE NOISE in these portablecabins. Lots of barking dogs that were kept on site, cars driving past, people walking around in the next cabin. 
The "shop and restaurant" on site. It's a bar that has tat next to it and puts a meal on each night. Which you have to pre book. They sell no essentials if you arrive late and want something to eat. We had to ask for 6portions of chips. This cost a ridiculous 30EUROS!!!!! 
This is mainly a French resort for locals on their breaks. We spoke to no other English people the entire week. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but we could see our children pushed out because of it.
We tried the local beach, rocky and not a walking distance because there are no pavements and on quite fast country roads. No chance we were risking it! So driving it was. 
For the price of the chalets, which are overpriced, I would say do not bother. It is too far from anywhere, noisy and very disappointing.
La Rochelle the city is stunning, we spent the day on the beautiful beach and eating out was not expensive at all. We had hoped this is where we were going to be placed in exchange for our villa, which was near la Rochelle, sadly, it didn't turn out that way.
I spoke (in my very basic French) to a family of a young girl who my daughters had befriended. The said it is mainly locals of the central France region that come to have a short stay at the coast, or people travelling up from southern France and not wanting to do the whole trip in one go. 
So in a round up.... It's very basic, not near anything, not equipped for children and families, expensive and can be noisy. Fair play if that's what you're after, but it's rather expensive.

Cramped.

We had prebooked this campsite online, and paid for it in full.  When we arrived, you cannot get onsite from the tiny lane on which it’s situated, and there was no parking outside.  Staff were surly and unhelpful when I went in to reception.  Initially they denied any knowledge of a booking, despite me having a print out!  When we got to our designated pitch, there were cars parked in it, so parked in the adjacent plot.  When I went back to reception they said I couldn’t do this!  The site is very tiny, and the parking extremely limited.  On a positive note, the area is very pretty, and there is dog walking.
