On a recent visit to Gassin, my husband and I had lunch at Bello Visto. The service and the meal were excellent. One of the best scallop dishes I have ever eaten! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his beef cheek dish as well. It was not inexpensive by any means for a lunch, but well worth it. We look forward to returning one day, and would even plan to stay in one of the 7 rooms associated with the hotel restaurant. Just a charming little town.

One of the top lunch places on our trip!

My wife and I spent a night at Bello Vista while driving from Vence to Marseille.  The drive from the “freeway” to Gassin was beautiful.  The roads were lined with vineyards and wooded area, and it felt like we had definitely left the “city.”  Once we found Bello Vista, which we found a bit tricky, we were warmly welcomed and quickly checked in.  We were in room 2, which was perfect for us.  It was clean and had a rustic, but modern charm, and the views from the two windows were gorgeous.  

Once we settled in, we went down to have a beer and relax before we explored a bit.  We ordered a couple of draft beers and were quickly served the beers as well as a bowl of olives.  Once we finished our beers, we explored the quaint, little hilltop village.  There isn’t much in the village to explore, but it was nice to walk around and unwind.  Later, we found out there are only 300 people that live in the village and Bello Vista is the only hotel there.  So, if you are looking for night life, this isn’t for you.  If you want to relax, enjoy fresh air, and walking, this will work for you!

We were able to enjoy a restful night in a comfortable bed, and the shower worked great, too.  We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Restaurant Bello Vista.  The only let down was breakfast.  Breakfast was 24 euro each and it consisted of an excellent cup of coffee and juice, but the cheese, meat, and croissant were “weak” for the price. That being said, we Bello Vista and the area, and we would stay there again.

Very nice boutique hotel and restaurant

Bare bones, small hotel room that was clean and had everything we needed for our one-night stay. The restaurant downstairs was pretty good and the atmosphere was romantic. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Clean, small hotel room in lovely town

Such a lovely and cozy hotel. Spacious and clean room with great view in two directions. The owner made us feel like at home. The staff were all attentive and exceptional in every way. The food and wine was amazing! We will be back at this hotel for sure.

Small, cozy hotel and great service

In the heart of Gassin, tastefully renovated rooms, spacious, great Italian shower, charming village close to Saint Tropez.
Ask for a room not overlooking the restaurant as this can get noisy in the summer.
Good breakfast.

Coziness and location

Stopped into the bar at the hotel. Great spot. Took a seat on the terrace and eventually managed to order a couple of glasses of champagne. May as well have sent it by courier pigeon. SO SLOW despite repeated requests as to where our order was. Eventually nigh on 30 minutes later a rather flustered waiter appears with chilled glasses (good) but warm champagne (bad). 14 Euros each for the privilege - and not even a proper measure. Avoid.

Slow and expensive...

We came again here after being only at the restaurant in 2016. We had then the best beef tartar ever. We wanted this time to spend the night at the hotel and enjoy again for lunch the tartar and an evening meal without being stressed out driving back to our campground. Please note that the tartar is not always on the menu so if you want to be sure just called them ahead. 
Anyway we had it and it was as excellent as the first time.Service is impeccable and the lady of the house very friendly. Our suite was very nice. Cozy and well decorated. Fantastic view up to the golf of St. Tropez. Bed very comfortable and  big (which is not always the case in France). We had dinner at the restaurant and had the gigot. Absolutely perfect. We can really recommend this property. Dinner was a bit overcharged to my taste but this is what one must pay these days to have this service in this location

Hotel and restaurant are just perfect

beautiful spacious newly renovated air conditioned rooms with big windows. Superb restaurant at the hotel - reservation required. no parking but plenty of free parking in Gassin. The hotel is fairly priced. 15 minutes to Pampelone beach.

great boutique hotel

We stayed in Room No.2 overlooking the restaurants and views over the hillside which were really lovely.  The room was an average size, and had a wardrobe and a chair and table near a mirror helpful for getting ready.  Contemporary decor and air conditioning which is very important.

You cannot drive to the front door of this hotel so you have to walk your cases up a slope but it is worth it for the view.

Room with a View

We were very surprised to have found this hidden Gem up in the hills with sweeping views of the nearby terrain and coastal views of St Tropez. We wanted to make sure that we had a room with contemporary deco and thus booked a Junior Suite which was pretty spacious with a good modern bathroom as well. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, both the service and food. Wines were a tad bit on the high end but nonetheless, we enjoyed out choice of wine. The experience in the room could have been better if there was a minibar plus coffee/tea facilities.Though, the hotel was quite good about having to send anything needed into the rooms upon request. A tip for those who might be traveling with lots of luggage. Locate the hotel on foot first and the hotel will direct you to the easiest and closest route to take to offload your luggage. Overall a very relaxing stay for us, a wonderful spot to unwind after a few very hectic days.....
