We stayed in Suite Arthur on our last night of a 10 day trip around France and it was an excellent choice. Madam was charming and helpful and the rooms were spotless. A lovely mix of old style in the living rooms and modern with the washing facilities. The bed sheets were beautifully crisp and the bed very comfortable. There were coffee/tea making facilities and bottled water in the fridge in a living area separate from the bedroom. The B&B is only 15 minutes from the centre of Chartres and we had a splendid meal at Le Café Bleu. When we tried to book a table on the night the booking site said they were full so we rang the café direct and were found a place. An added bonus was the Son et Lumiere that we caught at the cathedral. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Baguette, pastries cheese, jam, yoghurt, fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Secure parking next to the rooms. 2 things to note. No air conditioning, although there was a fan, and Madam only takes cash.

Delightful B&B with superb breakfast!

As a couple, we stayed 3 weeks in this very quiet place, although inside the city. Close to all amenities. The landlady is very friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The bedding is very comfortable. We were not disturbed. It was perfect. Thank you

Very nice place to stay

We spent one night in "Suite Clarisse" visiting Chartres.  The "suite" of two rooms is separate from the main house and included a sitting are with fridge, sofa, table, chairs, and tea/coffee maker.  The bedroom had a comfortable bed, dresser, hangers behind the door, and chair.  There was a separate toilet room with its own sink and a shower room with sink, stool, and towel warmer.  Amenities included 2 very large, small, and hand towels, 2 small soap bars, shampoos, and tissues.  Wifi was good.  Parking is behind a locked gate, so pull your car off the road and ring the right hand buzzer so the owner can let you in.  The continental breakfast included orange juice, coffee or tea, and wonderful French pastries.  The owner was very courteous and helpful, recommending several restaurants. The walk to the beautiful Chartres cathedral and restaurant area takes about 15 minutes .  Be aware that payment is in cash at this time.  We would stay here again when visiting Chartres.

Very comfortable B&B with safe parking and easy walk into Chartres

Stayed in the Clarisse apartment (without a kitchen). All on one level, lounge with day bed, table and chairs and a small mini bar style fridge. Full size kettle on a courtesy tray with Ferrero Rochers! Coffee, sugar, tea bags supplied but no milk. Access to a WC with wash basin.
Good size bedroom with large firm bed, electric shutters to the windows on both sides.
Lovely shower room with heated towel rail. Found the wash basin to be a bit high as were the mirrors over the basins but the owner suggested I used a small stool she supplied. Wooden floors throughout, I was glad of my slippers.
Wifi was excellent.
Breakfast, taken in owners house was fine and as expected.
A full length mirror would have been a handy addition to the apartment.
Car was parked in their secure grounds and was three steps down from the apartment.
Located on the edge of the town, between the pedestrianised shopping area/Cathedral and the lower historic old town by the river. Only a few minutes walk to either.
Would not hesitate to recommend to friends, had a great two nights stay.

Super stay

Stayed in the "Suite Arthur", a 2 room apartment that is like a separate "granny flat' on property from homeowners house.  Queen size bed with firm mattress (usual in France).  There is one step from living area to bedroom.  Security screens.  Frosted windows in both bedroom and bathroom.  Large shower with rain shower head.  Bathroom lighting is fair.  Kitchenette:  microwave, sink, 2 burner stove, refrig., toaster.  Freebox TV with English channel.  Free, fast internet.  3 steps down to patio and then 2 steps down.  Secured, gated parking at room.  Very quiet.  Breakfast provided:  yogurt, croissants, juice, coffee.  Excellent hosts.  Safe neighborhood.  Easy walking distance to restaurants and Lumieres at the Cathedral.
