Very lovely small bijoux guesthouse in view of the mediaeval chateau.  Uniquely decorated.  Very comfortable bed.  Air-con. Cracking pool and picaresque garden.  Owner couldn't have been more hospitable.  Perfect location.  Great experience 

Great spot to visit lovely city.

What a wonderful hotel! The owners were so pleasant and couldn’t have done more for us. They even drove us to the airport when a taxi was proving difficult to book!

The hotel is very well located for the Cite of Carcassone, even if it is at the bottom of the slope! Only takes 5 minutes to get to the Cite

The pool area and garden are pleasant and when we stayed we had the decent sized pool to ourselves.

Continental breakfast was lovely in a quirky dining area.

Gem of a hotel!

We spent there only 1 night, wish we could have spent more! This house feels so homey, its big, beautiful and filled with books! The care of its hosts can be seen it every small detail. They made us feel very welcomed and did their best to accommodate us to the maximum! The room has a stunning view of the castle and the dining room has access to the lovely garden and a pool. We surely recommend it to everyone, it is ideally located and the best place to stay during the visit of Carcassonne.

Amazing house very near to the castle

Renting a room at Carcas Hotes Guest House was a good choice, because it actually has a parking garage, which was handy, as other parking was not nearly as convenient. We stayed there for one night (10/21/2019) as we were driving north to Sarlat. 

Jerome, the hotel owner, helped me get our car into the garage by going out and stopping traffic, which I found to be a very friendly thing to do!

The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and a view of the fortress. 
That evening, when we were going to go out and find some dinner, Jerome asked us where we were going to eat, so we told him we were thinking of pizza. LOL! Jerome looked like he was going to cry! He told us that if we are in Carcossonne, we must try the local delights, like cassoulet and duck. Easily convinced, we asked for his recommendation and he told us to try the Carl le 27 restaurant, which was easy walking distance from the hotel. We did and it was great! Two of our group became fans of cassoulet! I was all about the duck, so that was my focus. It was all delicious!

The breakfast we had the next morning was also delicious. 

You are in good hands if you rent a room from Jerome and his wife at Carcas Hotes Guest House! I can definitely recommend this hotel.

A really nice place to stay and visit Carcassonne!

Wonderful placate stay close to the ancient city. 

The welcome and check in well very good.  The owner stayed available until our arrival which was most welcome.  We were shown around the building and the facilities were very good indeed.  Our room was great and the breakfast was great.

Exceptionally Good

My husbond and I stayed for one night september 2019. The couple that owns (?) the place are extremely friendly and makes every effort to help. Nice safe garage for our rented car. Super location close to the old town, and many restaurants nearby. The B&B needs a little update in furniture, and could use  some advice from an interior decorator concerning all the personal stuff. To many figurines of cats, souvenirs of strange origins, carpets that should be lost... Nice okay breakfast.Book the place for the location and the nice hosts.

Needs a little update, but great location

Jerôme was an excellent and attentive host.. nothing was too much trouble!!

Breakfast consisted of the standard french repast of cheese, ham and hard boiled eggs with cereal, croissant and fresh french bread also available. It is breakfast when you meet the other guests who we found to be lovely and Chilly the house dog who loves to meet all the guests at breakfast. Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day from the breakfast room but there are no facilites for drinks in your room.

Highly recommend buying the Limoux sparkling wine on offer at €11.. excellent value!

The rooms were clean but expect sheets and blankets, not a quilt. Also, if you have dustmite or feather allergies it might be worth arranging anti-allergy pillows prior to your visit.

Carcas'Hote also has a beautiful garden with a pool available for guests use. 

Carcassonne is a beautiful city of 2 halves.. the old Cité up on the hill and the new city across the river.  Lots of wonderful places to eat but you might struggle a bit finding more than a basic salad if looking for vegetarian food.

My recommendations for the local cassoulet would be Le Plô up in the Cité and for good basic meals and a good value wine go for Taverne de la Cité near the entrance to the castle complex.

Lots of places in the new city to eat and drink, and around the area adjacent to Carcas'Hote.

Jerôme was also very accommodating in allowing us to use his garage for parking as parking can be a bit hit and miss.. remember.. white boxes are free.. yellow and blue are a no no!

Hope you enjoy your stay at Carcas'Hote and we would have no hesitation in staying there again!!

Lovely place and marvellous host

We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers for our first visit to Carcassonne. On arriving at Carcas Hotes, the owner Jerome made us feel very welcome and gave us information about the area.

We had adjoining rooms on the pool side of the building which were clean and comfortable. As it was very early in the season, the pool wasn't available but would, I imagine, be very refreshing in high summer.

The guest house is in a great location, just a short 5-minute walk to the walled city and only about 15 minutes across the bridge to the 'new' town.

Breakfast included a good selection of meats, cheese, croissants & cereals. Jerome and his wife couldn't do enough to help us during our stay and was very patient while we practiced our French language! He even gave us a lift back to the airport on our return.

I would highly recommend this accommodation and we look forward to returning here one day.

Great Location & Excellent Service

My friend Claire and I stayed here for a short break and were delighted by the traditional French decoration and close proximity to the medieval city. We had the garden suite, and I had faux tapestries on the wall in my room. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the guests had access to the garden and pool area, which was well maintained. The inclusive breakfast was plentiful and included much coffee! Jerome, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful, he gave us a lot of local information and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed.I would certainly recommend staying here.

Excellent bed and breakfast with first rate customer service

Very welcoming to a large guest house with excellent large clean rooms close to the castle (old town). The owner provides a map with ideas from himself and other guests as recommendations. He also gave us a lift back to the railway station. The icing on the cake is the outdoor swimming pool set in a lovely large garden.
