Couldn’t have asked for a better place in ohrid! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the views of lake ohrid. Wonderful spot - easy to walk to the old town. Perfectly clean and quiet. We already can’t wait to come back!

Incredible views from the vila mesokastro

We stayed in Mesokastro for the second time and I can say that we will surely visit Ohrid in future and we will stay in Mesokastro again! Great hosts! Wonderful view, everything is close. We enjoyed the feeling of the old town. Only positive experience :)
The villa has it's own parking, the rooms are clean not sure what else to say except very pleasant stay.

Best place to stay!

This is the second time we stayed at Mesokastro in 10 years. In the meantime we went to Ohrid two more times taking a different locations, not just different stay and I must admit that this villa is probably, if not THE, the best place to stay in Ohrid.
It is in dead center of old town, within 100 m of everything you need, port, market, walking street and each room has a perfect view of the lake and city square.
On top of everything, and that was the issue back in 2011, they now have their own parking with a ramp. Once you leave the car there, you don't need to move it again - you can take a boat trip to Sveti Naum (highly recommended!) and you can simply walk down the main square.
Rooms are small and well organized, perfect for sleeping. Host are wonderful, they are interested in you travel, happy to help with stay and to give directions what to do and where is what. It is good to see old friends after 10 years.
If there is a perfect place to stay, not just in Ohrid but overall, this one is very close to that.

2nd time in 10 years

What can I say; this property was truly amazing. It had the best view of the Lake Ohrid. The owners of the property were very polite and very hospitable, they were always helpful when we needed anything. Katarina also gave us a a choice between three rooms when we reached the villa. They treated us like guests. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

Awesome stay!

We spent one night in Ohrid, in March, and we had a pleasant experience at Mesokastro. The host was very helpful, she accompanied us to the parking lot at the entrance of the old city and helped us fetch our car. The private parking lot is a great asset, given the narrow streets of uphill Ohrid. The room was fine, with a balcony and a view to the lake. The price was very convenient.

Pleasant experience

My girlfriend and i stayed here in May and found it to be extremely cheap. We were hesitant given the low prices but it was incredible! we had a double room with a balcony, their self-alleged "best room" for 5 nights for the price of a single night in other countries and the view from the balcony overlooked the main square and gorgeous lake. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains gave us the open of more privacy when required and the bathroom was also clean with towels being provided. Extra features included a fridge, television and Wifi.

Amazing views, Amazing Prices!

The room was clean and big enough for 2 adults and one child. View from our room was perfect. Hotel is 5 minutes to the center by walk. There was a free parking for the car. We like this place. The hotel is also near be to the Samuel's fortress. It is also 5 minutes to the the port. 

Nice place

The hotel was in a perfect location, easy to walk to (maybe 5-10min walk from the lake and downtown area). The views were unbelievable and unobstructed. The room was small, but large enough. A small fridge was there and TV with a station that played good movies in English.

The owner was very friendly. While they only take cash, you can pay in Euro or MKD.

Parking was amazing as most hotels in Ohrid you park on the street or in some small enclosed area. This had a pretty big lot (maybe 7-8 cars could easily fit there) right next to the hotel, so parking was easy and stress free.

The only negative is there was a small hot water tank, so there was not always enough hot water.

Would definitely stay here again.
