Unfortunately,  me & my family had unpleasant stay in Villa Boheme I believe there is a big issue regarding cleanness starting from the uncleaned toilet and un cleaned kitchen tools with a lot of ants all-over the kitchen and fridge was having a rotten fish which was left inside also there was  cockroachs in the bathroom and the most frustrating issue is after a beach day we returned to villa and found no water to bath and kids having their body full of salty water and after a discussion with the owner and the house manager ( which was saying it is something normal) they filled the tank with water and the water tank was having a lot of cockroachs !!!
in general the villa needs renovation and detailed cleaning

Uncleaned place

I think if I'd been a solo girl traveller I may have been a BIT concerned about the location. But Dahab is pretty safe... and the upper flat (suitable for solo traveller or couple) is well equipped and felt nice (fire escape like stairs up to the top). There IS noise from the mosques but it eventually fades into the background. 
15 minutes walk to the main strip... and I booked through dahab.net.    
Wireless wasn't working well when I was there but that's small side issue.

Close to lighthouse

We stayed in the Atelier Boheme in March 2014 and enjoyed staying in a private, secluded place after one week in frantic Cairo hotels. We loved the oriental style of the apartment, so many nice stylish details. This was one of the main reason we chose the place as - believe it or not - it is very hard to find oriental-style accommodation in Egypt!! 
We were welcomed by very friendly manager, Sala (spelling?), always ready to help and give us advice.
The apartment is located in a quiet little back street, just a short stroll away from the beach. Nice little retreat away from the busy promenade. We enjoyed the sunny terrace (it also has an umbrella) for our daily sundowner.

Cosy Oriental-style Apartment

We stayed at Atelier Boheme for 9 nights. It is a sweet little apartment very close to the Red Sea. We loved being able to pick up our own groceries and do some cooking at home. The apartment is well taken care of and very comfortable. It is fully furnished and has everything you need for cooking. It also has wifi, a fan, and good a/c. 

The apartment also has a small seating area outside that we enjoyed in the evenings. 
We recommend giving it a try if you want something different than a hotel. We felt very at home, and had a lot of privacy there. 

We would definitely rent it again.

Atelier Boheme-Great Little Place

We decided to write a long review since our experience differs from those of the other reviewers. 

We found this place both on booking.com and dahab.net. We decided to book through dahab.net since it volunteered more details so we thought they were more sincere and upfront about the properties they advertised. 

We booked this place for 10 nights starting 23rd June 2013. We stayed one night and left and lost all our money. 

We arrived at this place and were so thoroughly disappointed with it!! While dahab.net said it’s 2 minutes away from the beach, we were quite surprised that as the car pulled into town it swerved into a dirt alley quite far from the beach. While we were hoping it was just a short-cut, it wasn’t!! This is called Villa boheme, but not sure why this is called a villa while it’s merely a regular house cooped up in a little side alley on a dirt road! The toilet wouldn't flush and the kitchen cupboards smelled of bug spray. A few minutes of turning on the AC in one bedroom (no AC in the living room) it started to leak. The property itself is quite run down and tired. We felt very cheated after looking at the property. We wouldn't pay more than EUR 20 per night vs. EUR 45 we paid per night. 

To make it worse, when we called dahab.net to sort out about cancellation and refund (even a partial one) after seeing the place, we didn’t hear a hint of reconciliation, instead we heard a lot of defence and justification.Customer relations are completely amiss!! 

Since according to dahab.net the beach is 2 minutes away, we tried different routes to the beach and it’s DEFINITELY not 2 minutes away!!There are no lights when you walk back in the evening, people sleeping on the streets so be careful to not step on them and lots of goat droppings. 

We had to sleep with the leaking AC and the water dripping on the floor the whole night since the other room wouldn't cool down and the living room doesn't have an AC so we couldn't use the loft either. The bathroom was dirty with cockroaches making the rounds at night. 

We paid EUR 45 per night and lost all the money finally. We had been travelling for 2 months and decided to go to Dahab to get some rest. We didn't want to spend our break in Dahab at such a disappointing place so we moved out the next day. 

To conclude, this place is totally overpriced and over-sold. It has no location advantage (given that there are PLENTY of places right on the promenade with direct access to the beach, bars, restaurants and great value for money), run down, cockroaches and bug spray smells and wrongly called a villa! 

We are definitely not going back there and perhaps will stick with websites like booking.com who have more transparent cancellation policies and a great customer service / relations, in our perspective.

Overpriced and an oversell!!!

5 of us stayed at the Villa Boheme, which has 2 bedrooms, a mezzanine with a sofa bed and and alcove tucked around a corner which is a further sleeping area.  It was very comfortable with a private yard/garden, which is where we spent most of our time whilst at the apartment.  Everything you need for meal preparation was in the kitchen and bathroom/shower was good.  Air con and fans in the bedrooms were useful too.

One of the Bedrooms has tons of storage but not a lot of space, just enough to walk around the pretty cool 4 poster, with full mosi net.  The second bedroom is a bit more spacious but has very little storage.  The apartment is pretty spacious so this was not a problem as we all spread into the rest of the apartment.

We booked our transfers, breakfasts and the Apartment through Dahab.net and the information sent across was superb.  Transfers were seamless.  On arrival we paid the balance for the transfers, breakfasts (at Leila's bakery across the road, on our early mornings they made us sandwiches to take away - which was great) and also the final clean.  Whilst we were having breakfast on the final day, we were asked to confirm our transfers and the mini bus was waiting for us at the apartment at our departure time.  All terribly easy :-)

We all loved the apartment, it has a cosy, intimate and local feel to it.  Very quiet location as it is out of the main area.  However, a 3 minute walk has you down at the sea front with the restaurants, shops and dive centres.  Would stay here again.
