It was my very first time at an Eco lodge.

And it was a very lovely experience.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was big.The quality  of service is amazing The food so delicious 
If you're interested in a desert trip, this is the place to go.

A friend recommended this Eco lodge in Bawiti (Bahariya Oasis) as an ultimate place to relax and get away. I'd never heard of Bawiti before and was a bit skeptical but then heard about it again from a German couple who'd just got back from there and were raving about their experience. So I went.. and fell in love the moment I arrived. 

Everything about the Desert Rose was perfection: the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. The overall ambiance was lovely and serene and the lodge itself was comfortable, authentic and very clean. All food (included) was made fresh and tasted great.

Bahareya Oasis is also a destination in itself - there is a lot to do and explore here and the scenery and dunes are out of this world. Be sure to book a safari: the lodge makes all the arrangements and it's definitely the best way to see everything. Price was quite reasonable for the highly enjoyable experience. I will definitely come back



I’ve stayed here before and opted to stay again cause I’d enjoyed my previous trip. They’ve added some wonderful excursions and we opted for the desert safari which was spectacular. It was great to see a different side to Egypt besides the usual tourist destinations & was great to escape f the hustle and bustle of cairo which can be both exciting and overwhelming at times. Highly recommended stay

I stayed at this safe, serene place in the lovely Bahariya Oasis before and after a tour with Loly, who runs Egypt Western Desert Tours (highly recommend for local tours and camping around the white and black deserts!) The owner, Osam, was so hospitable. The meals are feasts. Delicious local food. The Garden is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun. There’s also a Bedouin tent to sit in and drink tea. Simple rooms with a good vibe, lots of space, hot water, heating/AC, soap shampoo and towels provided.

We stayed there for three nights over New Years Eve. The two women in the kitchen were fantastic: high quality Egyptian food and lots of it! The manager organized our driver to pick us up from Kairo and our tour guid who took us on two unforgettable day trips into the desert(s). We would go again and recommend others to do so as well!

The Desert Rose is certainly not the Hilton, nor does it claim to be. It offers a basic, yet homely, accommodation in a lovely rural setting. It was warm, even in the heart of winter, comfortable and clean. The attentive service was excellent without being in-your-face. Our whole family (2 adults, 3 kids) really enjoyed the food. We are likely to go back.

We stopped at Desert Rose on our way back from a White Desert Safari which they had helped us to organise. Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, great local food and we even got to try dates fresh off the tree!

the desert rose eco lodge is the best place in Bahariya, you have the best food, freshly made, you have very nice small lodges, and with the manager you can arrange everything to do around bahariya, very recommendable, and not very toruistic. i will defently go again to this place!!!

We had an incredible time at Desert Rose Eco Lodge. The space itself was beautiful, and staff were warm and friendly. The food was absolutely excellent,. The guide to the desert was also great, well-informed and friendly. We were impressed by the quality, cleanliness and hospitality of the entire experience, especially after several experiences in Egypt that were underwhelming. Overall we had a very nice stay, and will definitely visit again when other visitors come to Egypt.

One thing, i hope the rooms would be a LOT cleaner next time.
