Cabanas is a nice boutique hotel located 10 minutes outside the town of Banos but the cab ride is $2 so we didn't mind being away from the noise. What I remember most about our stay was how nice the couple is that owns it. Honestly it felt like we were staying with friendly Ecuadorian grandparents haha. They woke up and made us breakfast everyday, haggled over the phone to make sure we weren't over charged for any of the activities we wanted to do, insisted on taking photos of us in what they considered the best spots at the hotel, and even gave us some little gifts on the way out. Easily the nicest people we met in our whole week in Ecuador.
