The hotel is basic bare bones accommodation

No tv  no ac. Fairly clean. Poorly maintained. Has small pool. Close to Main Street  parks beach and restaurants. Low cost hotel. If you are expecting 2.5 star or more hotel. Don't go here.  If you want a budget hotel with good location this place will do
I believe you get a little more than you pay for

Bare bones but decent value

This place was 3 blocks from the beach. The staff was friendly, good security at night! The room was simple and clean with private facility's. It has a very nice clean pool. The owner was very friendly and spoke good English. He drove us to the airport for a better rate than a taxi. Great value for budget travelers!  *IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF BUGS, AND THE HEAT DONT COME TO A TROPICAL ISLAND!

It was okay for the price, but it could be better. 

We stayed here the night we got in to the DR, so we decided to just get something cheap since we would only have a couple of hours of sleep before moving on, since we only planned a day in Boca Chica. 

The service was not good. The hostel said they would send us a taxi, but it never showed up to pick us up from the airport, and when we arrived there by another taxi they said it was full and that we had to go to another part of the hostel that was at a different location. When we said we didn't want to pay for another taxi to go there because it wasn't our fault, and they had not let us know or sent the taxi, they sort of just shrugged their shoulders and said there was little they could do. After 40 minutes a room opened up because some people left really early, and they quickly cleaned two beds for us.

The toilet didn't have a seat, I never would have cooked food in the little kitchen provided in our 'apartment', nor would I have dared to try the shower. 

Other than that we found it perfectly okay considering we only paid $9 each. They were happy to store out bags after check out the next day, the place felt safe; there was a lock to get into the hostel area, and we had another lock (an actual pad lock) at our 'apartment' door.

Wifi was good in the main area.

Do Not Stay Here!!!! I don't even know where to begin, Truly at a loss for words. This place should be shut down. If you have any other options.. I mean ANY other options, choose those. They changed my room three time and all the rooms had major issues. How is this place not already closed? The sheets are dingy, the walls have holes in them... there was not even a toilet seat in the bathroom. How basic can you get? I wasn't expecting a 5 star accommodation but having a functioning toilet is a bare necessity. 

The owner clearly does not care about the guests satisfaction or comfort. Besides the room, the wifi did not work in the room. The "common area" is literally 5 plastic chairs outside in a circle with a TV. 
The place is very noisy even with the windows closed. The curtains were tied together with ribbon. Cold showers only. This place is a joke. 

I have stayed at places all over the world. This is by far the worse place I've stayed at in my life.

No Toilet Seat!!! Holes in the Wall... Truly a Disaster!!!!

Location is good, 3 blocks away from d beach and good eateries near by. The place is in need of refurbishment. Room is spacious but very basic, no toilet seat and cold water only in d shower! We were given the room next to d common area (kitchen) and unfortunately people were still speaking / singing loudly until 1.30am!
