This was a small hotel in a nice neighborhood. Good food and nice service.

Fantastic hotel and restaurant! Friendly service and great food - what more could you ask for.

It is great hotel. Very close to the wild beach with steep stairs to go down. Morning swim is highly memorable. Good breakfast.

Perfect stay close to the sea

Very nice little hotel close to the water. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The area was so calm and beautiful. Recommended!

Very nice hotel

No dinner options offered, had to drive out for evening meal. Great breakFast though

Well, it is a nice place, but service, a bit sloppy. Finding an umbrella when it rained heavily, for my pregnant wife and 3 years old son, it seemed impossible and without enthusiasm “they are supposed to be some here in the corner”.
The rooms are nice, but not more. Not the most comfortable beds. Basic decorated bathrooms.
Breakfast was good, we liked that.
They give you an electronic key to go down the rickety wooden steps to the beach, pretty area.
Easy to park, and could almost park just outside.
No mini bar or fridge in the room, so better buy your beer cold at the supermarket 
Anyway, for the price, we are satisfied.

Nice place, that's it

We stayed here for our wedding dinner and one night in the wedding suit. We were the only guests as it was in November. The staff is friendly and if you make a booking and have any questions it seems best to call them rather than trying to start an e-mail conversation :-) (they did not seem very responsive to e-mail).

The food was good and we got control over their stereo to choose the music from their library which we liked. The hotel is in a cozy little farm house with lots of rustic vintage decoration. The breakfast and dinner area is in a little round tipi-like pavilion with painted ceiling that makes it look like a star spangled night sky. 

Everything is very clean and there are so many tiny details in the decoration that it is impossible to mention them all. Every square centimeter holds a little surprise with some vintage-ish objects. The walls in the suite are painted with sunsets and maritime scenes. And maybe it was the alcohol and wedding euphoria but somehow they managed to make it not look silly or cheesy but personal and cozy.

There is a small secluded beach nearby which can be reached via a locked gate. We were there in November so it was rather cold and windy but the view is really nice.

Pretty little hotel in a renovated farm house with a new age touch

We were a family of three and stayed for one night only, but will definitely come back for a longer stay another time.

The owners really made us feel welcome and were very service minded. 
We were contemplating extending our stay with one night and the hostess just told us that we could let her know what we decided whenever we had decided it. Great!

Our room was comfortable and clean and faced inward to the garden, where the restaurant also was.
We walked about 20m through the garden to have breakfast and it was like eating in our own back yard. Lovely!

The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied.
We were told that the breakfast times were from 8:30 to 10:00 "or thereabout, we could easily extend it a bit if it suits you better" as the host said.

There is a genuin and relaxing atmosphere at Havgaarden. 
Perfect for a holiday or weekend stay.
As a guest you have access to a private part of the beach only 100m from the hotel.

The present owners/hosts have only been at Havgaarden since april 2016 and seem to be "all in" with the process of improving the hotel even more. 

One little thing I hope they do, is to add a couple of "lighter" dishes to the dinner menu.
It is a bit pricy to have dinner at Havgaarden if you are a family, with having to buy a two course meal at DKK 289,- pr. person.

Great little hotel!

I've been there for a summer party. The place is very beautiful and cozy. It's located close to the sea with very beautiful shore which is a big plus.
They served starter, main course and dessert and the only thing I liked was cured salmon with ginger and lemon and the rest wasn't anything special. 
The stuff are friendly and nice and ready to help.

very beautiful place

New owner since a while back, a very nice lady who makes sure the guests are always comfortable and happy. Lovely garden to sit in. The location is a very quiet one, close to the beach, which is locked and you have to borrow a key to get into, but when you do, you'll never regret it. The view is totally amazing and if you have the stamina to go down the fairly steep stairs to the water, it is a really lovely beach. The rooms are fresh and homely, there is no TV but free WiFi. The breakfast is VERY nice, with some local cheeses to try, warm bread and fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as the normal breakfast assortment. The price for the room was fair and we have nothing but positives to say about this place. Will go back again for sure. The only minus would be it's quite a long bit to get to a restaurant for dinner.
