Our cottage was fine for the night we stay, basin, toilet, sink, plates & cutlery, electric jug, fridge, table, TV and heating. As well as outdoor table and chairs and on site parking. The shared facilities are very good particularly the kitchen area. On site play ground & mini golf, bikes for hire. Sheets and towels are an additional charge.

Good Cottage in the camping ground

  We've stayed in one of the small 2 person cottages for a weekend. It is a nice and cosy  campsite with everything you need. It is closed to the town center which can be reached by following the path by the lake (only 1,2 km) There is also a bus stop just a few meter from the entrance. You can take the bus to Silkeborg town center or take a xbus to Aarhus from just outside the campsite. Would be happy to return.

I visited mid-March as the Curling Championships were being held nearby. Reception was very friendly and check in was quick and easy and I was given a key and shown on a map where my cabin was located. One thing I should recommend is to ask about WiFi at this point. Apparently they do not have many guests using the WiFi so you need to get a password to log on. 
The cabin is warm and comfortable. There is a coffee machine and a kettle, pots and pans, and cutlery and crockery. 
The shower blocks are clean and easy to use (tokens from reception).
I only cooked in my cabin but there is a communal kitchen and dining area that looked good.
The beach is very small but it probably looks more inviting later in the season. 
Overall a good site for visiting Silkeborg and Central Denmark.

This review is for the canoe hire only as we did not stay at the camp site.

90dkk per canoe for an hour, duration of hire needs to be decided on payment. No dry storage containers so bear that in mind when packing. Handed a map showing the layout of the lake and no go areas... the bridge to the right being downstream and a no go to prevent problems paddling back. 

We had two canoes for 2 hours for 3 teens and 2 adults... plenty of space and stable as long as care taken! 2 hours seemed quite a long time on the day as quite hard to paddle for some, but that said all loved it... paddling into town was relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely nice to do... the day was 19 degrees and overcast when we went, sun shining would be ideal probably.

This canoe hire spot opens up onto a larger part of lake which we preferred on the day to canoeing down the river where most of the boat pontoons and canoe club are... we thought it would be a bit quieter and suit our novice abilities. There is a lock though and the river section is arguably more scenic but we had also seen it during a boat ride.

The mobile home was bigger than expected, everything worked as it should and the camping had a great mini golf course (better than the average), ping pong, play ground and the lake just beside.
The service was excellent as well.

Fine mobile home and good service

We stayed in thier brand new (2015) Mobilehome, lot no. 5 for one night.
The house was very nice and clean and everything worked as expected.

Inside the house contains two seperate sleeping roome, one with double bed and one with single beds. The beds are a little hard and is only 180 cm long, so if you are than 180 cm tall, bes may feel tool short.
One bathroom with dusch and seperate toilet.
Kitchen is well equiped with four of each. Gas stove and a small oven.
Flatscreen with a varity of channels. All danish TV2 channels are not available !
Outside you will find a large terrasse with table and four chairs.
Comes with free Wifi. Code delivered from reception.

Terasses on all 5 available Mobilehome's are faces against south.
Barcecue area, playground and shared toilets are only 50 m away.
Only a 100 m walk to lake with very nice with.
Walk to Silkeborg only 1.2 km away along the lake.
