Slightly off the beaten track but straight into a beach we loved the location.
Rooms with sea view a must at extra 4 euro
Rooms cleaned daily and regular towel and bedding changed
The fussy eater may struggle but we had no issues with the e quality or variety on offer.
The costal walls were fantastic.
Staff all great.
Highly recommend for a relaxed chilled break.

Great find

We have just returned from the Mimosa Beach Hotel after a lovely relaxing experience.  The hotel is out of the way but you are able to reach the local towns by a regular bus service or good taxi service.  

The staff were all lovely and friendly with nothing too much trouble for them.  I would say that they are the best hotel staff that I have encountered. 

The rooms were clean and looked after.  They do suffer with ants but the solution did the trick whilst we were there. 

The beach was just through the swimming pool area and the water was crystal clear and lovely to swim in. You have to pay for the beds and umbrellas but they were inexpensive. It is a public beach. 

There was a buffet style food selection for breakfast and evening meal - various choices.  We went half board and were able to swap the evening meal for lunch if we wanted to go out in the evening.  The swapped meal had a good selection of food.  

We were really pleased with the overall experience.

September holiday

Great two weeks away at the Mimosa,room was spot on lovely shower 🚿,occasionally ants in our room,staff were excellent and polite,food was hit and miss in the evening but you had more options at lunchtime which you could swap your evening meal for,entertainment personally not good,plenty of sunbeds and a lovely pool and beach.drinks wise a little expensive but cheaper than the UK,and a lot cheaper in the supermarket.
Bus stop just up the road to venture into Pratoros and Napa and we had a great trip out too Varosha.

Nice two weeks away

I live in Cyprus but had a wonderful few days break at this family run hotel on the outskirts of Protaras.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Buffet style restaurant offering English and continental breakfast, also evening meals reasonably priced, if you haven't gone all inclusive. I even became a member of the hotels short green bowls club and have made some nice friends.

Great family run hotel on the outskirts of Protaras.

Good points -  staff friendly, location good. Food plenty of choices, lunchtime and evening. Bus stop at top of road, local shop at top of road where you buy bottle water and ice cold beer, snacks. Plenty of sunbeds. 

Sad points - hotel has problem with ants, had to have them in twice once was in wardrobe. Walk in shower needs more than a flimsy curtain. No where to put your toileteries. 

Drinks are expensive in bar area but cheaper in resturant weird. You have to take your own towels for pool area. Entertainment poor. Lack of entertainment in day, not even a bit of music. Pool not big, especially with lots of children there. 

Pair of my new shorts went missing. No one handed them in, in case I left on umbrella but then I sat close to life guard who would have spotted them, so its either the maid or a dishonest customer staying there. Hope who ever has them feels guilty. 

I won't be returning to this hotel, out of the way and expensive. I can see it's good points for some. So enjoy

Good for some, just not for me.

Great hotel which is family run. Fab location and the beach is just minutes from the hotel.  Beds are a hard but got used to them. Food good especially lunch. Pool bar open every day till late. The staff are amazing. Well done to Linda, Eugene, Stelios, Karen and Christiana. 

Mimosa Beach Hotel is a gem.

This is a small friendly hotel suitable for couples with young children or older couples I do not think this is a young person's place.  Our room was spotless on arrival and was cleaned by Maria every day who was very friendly and helpful.  There are a couple of gripes firstly the bath towels are just that they are not bath sheets so they barely cover you.  Secondly there is no tea and coffee making facilities at this hotel but we did hire a kettle.  There is a safe in the room but it has a key not a combination.  If you want you can swap your evening meal for lunch which we did a lot because we hired a car and it meant we could go out and not have to hurry back.  I found the meal choice was very samey however the service provided was excellent especially Karen and Christala.  The pool bar was run by Georgia who was helped by Sam who was also the lifeguard.  Sheets were changed twice a week and the towels every 3 days.    The hotel does offer entertainment eg bingo, musical acts etc.  There is a tv in the bar and you also have flat screen tv in your room.  It was exceptionally hot for September but there is air conditioning in the room.  All in all this is a very nice hotel with lovely, friendly and helpful hard-working staff and I can definitely recommend it.

Clean and friendly excellent service

Hi all, read my reviews of all hotels I have stopped in. Honesty is the best review I can give. Do not come here if you are young, this hotel is mainly for the over 60s with a client base of returning regulars. It seems like fun is out of the window when you first arrive with boards around the pool. But that’s ok we are 50ish and had just been married the week before, and came from a villa and had expected a fun filled week at the hotel but this never happened. I am a fussy eater and usually manage to get something, but not here. For instance menu says chicken curry so you would expect curry rice chips and Nan. No just chicken curry with bone meat. Chips for breakfast but none for evening meal at all for the whole week. I had to ask for a meal on the nights I attended apart from 1 where I ate a plate of pork with apple sauce and bread. But never mind that, all the staff are truly amazing and go out of there way to help you- thanks to all of you. The only problem we had was with the owners or managers where they would just ignore you at the bar even though the 1 member of staff was rushed off there feet with multiple orders. No help at all, it’s as if you don’t exist unless you are a repeat customer. A truly bad holiday experience from someone who travels 4/5 times a year. TUI I would not rate this hotel at 3 star more like a 2. But thanks again to all the staff, of whom are the greatest asset to the hotel.

Not an enjoyable experience

Perfect little hideaway from the hustle n bustle of life.  Clean, comfortable and good food. Loved our first time visit to Cyprus and this little hideaway has a perfect reason for booking again without hesitation.  See you in October , looking forward to good food, good service and friendly faces.

Perfect week

This was our first time at the Mimosa Beach Hotel and we found it excellent.  Having seen some Reviews complaining on the food we cannot understand why Breakfast was excellent and Evening Dinner whilst not the choice of AI hotels was for us very good. This is an Excellent 3* hotel where the owners are  at the hotel every day and evening and talk to guests, on our first night the gentleman owner sat talking to my wife and I for 35 mins never in all our travels have we had this happen. The hotel gets many return Guests and we can understand why. Our room was cleaned every day to an excellent standard.
The staff were top class and a special mention to Christala who served us with a smile all our holiday.
For anyone who wants a relaxing enjoyable holiday on the small beach with fantastic surroundings this is a must to try. We are looking at our 2024 September break and this hotel is top of the list.
