The first impression we had when walking into the Bernardi Rooms were ‘Wow this is nice’. This was before we discovered how central the accommodation was to everything in Old Town. As Split Old Town is a UNESCO heritage site no elevators can be installed in any of the older buildings so be prepared for a lot of steps. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained surrounded by restaurants and bars and everything could be reached by walking. The only restriction being no cars are able to access Old Town so transfers to airports buses or taxis needed to have a pre arranged meeting place which may involve a bit of walking.
