Our suite was very spacious; bathrooms were excellent and very clean; the terraces needed some refurbishment as paint was peeling and the floors needed to be redone as the current status as shabby. The buffet was ok but quite basic. Breakfast was very good. The hotel personnel was very helpful and friendly.

Highlight of our trip!  Only downside was a/c didn’t work. Otherwise great stay!

Two days on a delightful island. If you don't expect a perfect golf course a round is an absolute blast!

Faded grandeur, but excellent staff.

Great hotel! Brijuni are just gorgeous with a lot of things to do (swimming, walking in the parks,  biking, sightseeing roman ruins, safari park, etc). We paid for buffet dinner offered by the hotel.  The food was just marvelous...just like home made food made by my Croatian mother.

This is a unique and marvellous place - both the island with its numerous attractions and the hotel with its longstanding history. We enjoyed it a lot and had a wonderful time again.

We stayed ij newly renovated room which is very nice and comfortable. It is furnished in modern style.
Service is so unprofessional. Although I am sure room was ready they didn't allow us to go to the room before 15:00, 
It looks that guests are really not appreciated.

Lot of unused potential

Hotel should improve the meals, especially dinner, which should be much, much better. Also window blinds must be fixed, as they were smashing against the window when it was windy.Other than that, hotel was very nice, clean, renovated partially, friendly staff and on beautiful location

The service was good, hotel is a bit outdated but the rooms are very spacious. Air conditioning could be better. Location is very convinient.

Large rooms with a nice view

The island itself is beyond words beautiful. The hotel is very old and charming. Its rooms are clean, its terraces spacious and charming. The food was average, but since you do not visit Brijuni for its hotel cuisine, we found it acceptable. What I wish to emphasize is the professionalism and kindness of the island staff; these people are so polite, outgoing and helpful, they make you feel like a guest at a five star resort, which you actually are, given the unprecedented beauty of the island itself. Do rent an electric car, don’t miss on that. Go to Brijuni and forget about the stresses of the modern world.

I’ve had the most wonderful time here

The island of Brijuni is great, this hotel is not. It’s just a sad, beautiful building that used to be something but lost all of its splendour. The rooms are so old it is sad. The showers work but not really, the carpet has probably not been changed ever! It feels like being back in the 70’! But with modern day prices!

I had booked a single room to join two friends who were sharing a double room. My room cost as much at theirs but it was a coffin!! I have never set foot in a room and felt so oppressed in my life. After a 30’ long debate with the receptionist (who was admittedly very friendly), I ended up in a room similar to that of my friends only smaller, where at least I could breathe.

The rooms have NO AIRCO!! And they are impossible to cool down even if you leave the window open all day and night.

Finally, on the first night, they had a wedding party right in the hotel’s garden, under my window (I was on the 2nd floor). Even with the window closed it sounded as if I was at the party itself. And the music wasn’t even good...so until past midnight, there was no way to get any sleep. 

Overall, this is by far one of the worst value for money hotels I’ve ever been to! Just avoid it until they decide to renovate it and stay on the coast. The ferry only takes 15’ to get to the island. One more point: there’s no market, no atm and no more than one à-la-carte restaurant in here!
