The apartment is spotless, it's super clean and comfortable, there is everything you need in the kitchenette, great air conditioning, such a beautiful view, and the hosts are wonderful! We loved our stay!

Super clean, beautiful view, great hosts, absolutely perfect!

In a prominent position looking over the walled part of the town this is a lovely place to stay. The owner welcomed us and made sure we were settled before leaving us. The apartment had just been renovated when we stayed at the end of May. Highly recommended

Lovely position and great views

We stayed in the double room on the top floor. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable. The view from the window over the old town was fantastic. We called the owners as we arrived early and they arrived to prepare the place for us. They were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. 
The apartment is about as close as you can get to the old city without being within the walls and if you are within the walls you would not get the great view each morning. From the Pile gate to the old town you only have to walk up a fairly long flight of steps and you are at the door to the apartments.  
Overall this was a very good place to stay and we very happy to have chosen to stay there. If we return to Dubrovnik we would stay here again.

We had to climb some stairs to get thee and text the host when we arrived. But when he arrived we got a great room with a small window with a fantastic view of the walled old town and the sea. The location of the apartment is just outside the walls and the host was very helpful. 

Apartment with fantastic view

Let's start nicely. Spectacular view from the window. Truly a spectacle. Ok, now we have that out of the way. The service? I spent four weeks writing to these people after booking trying to get information, to no avail. On the day, we got to the door and had to call some company, to get in contact with them to let us in. The chick who met us was clueless really as to who we were. We were at the top of a lot of stairs (hence the view), to a room with little traditional security, a bathroom detached from our room, a broken air conditioning unit (in 30+ degree weather). All of which I can (just) endure. But did I mention the place was creepy? We got back one night (9 pm) to find some strange old dude slinking away into the darkness away from our room, who had obviously been in our room "cleaning". Weird. And to finish, they offered an airport driving service. The price is acceptable, slightly more expensive than a taxi. But the crook who took us there had no change and intended not to give us any. So it cost us a bundle to get there. Unimpressive. The best thing about this place is the location and the view. Oh and the idea for a horror film script it gave me.



Ordinary at best, Creepy at worst

Falsely advertised as free parking nearby. It’s actually a 16-20 minute trek to the nearest free parking. When I asked the owner how he just said it was tough luck and we had to pay for parking garage to leave the car nearby (€70 a day!). Not what you expect when you only search do a search for accommodation with free parking.  Property is an attractive older building in a nice central location, but on a hillside, and can only be accessed by a long steep staircase. We arrived at night and it was exhausting and a huge hassle just getting our bags to the property in July heat. It is falsely advertised as an apartment, but is actually just a bedroom off the noisy entrance hall, with access to a separate living area and shower room in another part of the building. The living area is nice, with nice views, but the shower room is a small room off the kitchen area and isn’t very appealing, and you have to go through the public entrance hall to access it. It’s really not what we expected as I would not expect to have to dress and go thorough a public area to use the toilet or shower (can’t legally call it an “apartment” if the it’s not a single property apart from the rest of the building) when the bedroom and toilet are in different parts of the building. The host was rude and indifferent to the false advertising (a criminal offence in the UK).  He just told us tough luck, this is Croatia, we don’t care about rules here, and we had paid in advance and couldn’t cancel and get a refund. Luckily I had paid by credit card, so I rejected the property and raised a s75 complaint against credit card company, and got my £150 back from the credit card company, and also an apology and £35 voucher from booking.com who were also falsely advertising the property. I got a great hotel with breakfast included and its own carpark for the same price. The hotel allowed us to leave the car and our bags after checkout so we could explore the rest of the day. A far superior service.

Not apartment! Bedroom and WC separate. Nearby parking €70! Property is a 16 -20 min trek up a steep hillside!
