My wife and I stayed in the 'Pink' (one bedroom apartment, top floor) Apartment for 6 nights in September-October 2015 and absolutely LOVED it. When you step out of the door onto the street you are just a few steps from the main pedestrian street (Stradun) and in the centre of the old city. I can't imagine a more convenient location from which to explore old town Dubrovnik. Yes, there are stairs - the building is a designated historic property and apparently the owners are not permitted to install an elevator - but my wife and I are both in our sixties and travel with a lot of luggage and photographic gear and we had NO PROBLEM with the stairs (the first two flights are ancient stone stairs and you can see original support columns set into the plaster walls on each side - you feel the age of the building. But despite the age of the building the facilities in the apartment are clean and modern - the bathroom especially looks like it could have been installed this year, very nice. My favorite feature was a folding drying rack that allowed us to wash a few clothes in the sink and then let them dry in the bathroom while we were out during the day. Some people have complained about the noise from the nearby Irish Pub - it CAN get loud in the evenings but we just closed the windows and turned on the (excellent) air conditioning and the noise was gone. By 2:00am, if you were still up, the noise was gone and you could open the windows anain to let the fresh air blow through - very pleasant. The kitchen was well supplied, good little fridge, free Wi-Fi worked very well. TV could be a little bigger but we really didn't fly from Canada to Dubrovnik to watch TV anyway so it didn't bother us  :-)  . As everyone else noted, the owners, Maria and Pascal, were kind and helpful - Maria would have carried our luggage up the stairs if I had let her!  One tip I would offer:  there is no real marking on the doorway, other than the street number, to let you know that you are at the right place. Once I found the doorway, I just called the number listed for the hotel and Maria rushed down to welcome us and check us in. She let us have a peek at the two bedroom apartment ("navy" - the rooms are named by colour) which was unoccupied when we arrived and it looked amazing too - great views, tons of room, beautifully furnished and decorated. This is a great hotel in a perfect location staffed by wonderful people! Don't let a few stairs scare you off!  Great value.

The owners arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and we were met by Pasqual who carried our luggage all the way up to our apartment .
the only complain there was to much light coming in through the window 5 am :(

I stayed here for one night, location a bit hard to find and when I did I had to call the owner and ask how to check in. I was directed to a restaurant round the corner and they took payment and checked me in. The room was clean, location was excellent within the city walls. There is wifi but as no one told me the password I was not able to use it.

Excellent location

We've just arrived in Kagoba apartments, which truly has a great location, the old town of Dubrovnik is amazing. The place is not so easy to find as there's no sign on the building, but once you've managed, you'll love the apartment.
We knew that parking will be difficult, but well, it's kinda impossible unless you're willing to pay 40kn/hr near the old town... Anyway, you're in the center & it's beautiful. BUT, what nobody ever mentioned is that you will not sleep at all. It seems the real party's just stared - at midnight... Perhaps it would be great is we were down drinking but that doesnt really work with a 6 yr old... If you're young and willing to party till the morning, you've find your place. If not, forget it! Recommendation for the owners: you should change at least the bedroom windows for sound proof ones, cause this noise will drive your guests crazy. I'm not happy at all...

A party in your bedroom...

Prebooked our room for 4 nights. Way too long but our own mistake staying within city walls. Had to find appointed restaurant to pick up keys. Owner not there and staff unsure of preappointed plans. Room over noisy restaurant,small but adequate for 1 night stay. Bathroom less than clean . Payment for rooms in Croatia, cash only,  so left us very short of spending money. Very expensive location for everything.
