Fantastic apartments in a great location with the best host you could wish for. Ivo arranged our taxi transfers from the airport. The taxi driver gave us lots of info on the drive from the airport and pointed out the banks, supermarkets etc before carrying our bags up to the apartment, so glad he did, as we'd never have found it on our own! Ivo was there to meet us at the gate, sat us down and provided fresh orange juice, beer and a lovely platter of meats, cheeses and the best pickled onions I've ever had. We were in apartment number 4, the smallest of his apartments but perfect for just us two, we opened the bedroom doors onto the swimming pool - perfect. Huge bed and plenty of storage space, nice size en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and lots of hot water. Nice fluffy towels that were replaced after 3 days, a nice touch that was much appreciated. The kitchen again was a nice size with everything you could need to cook a meal (we didn't!) It was very cold once the sun went down but Ivo showed us how to use the air-con unit to heat the bedroom, it was very much appreciated and very efficient. One morning as we were going out Ivo had just returned for a successful fishing trip and invited us to lunch. He provided the most delicious tuna steaks, a small fish, with potatoes and vegetables accompanied by a bottle of tasty home made wine. We were also offered drinks on numerous occasions and my partner really enjoyed Ivo's special gin cocktail. The location is perfect, 26 easy steps down to the seafront with a great selection of bars and restaurants. Seek out Bar Paradiso for good priced beer and wine and the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It is the perfect people watching spot and the sunset view isn't too bad either. If we return to Cavtat we will definitely stay here again if we are able to.
