Fabulous cabin in the jungle yet right on the beach.  The shared kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and encourages interaction with other guests.  Really beautiful surroundings with sloths, butterfly’s and beautiful birds in bundance.  Juan is attentive to anything you need, several restaurants nearby if you don’t feel like cooking.

Surrounded by Natural Beauty

One of my very favourite places I have stayed in many years of travelling the world ! A sweet secluded sanctuary, right on a lovely beach, close to the happening hub of Puerto Viejo ! Sleeping to the sound of the sea, such a treat.  Down to earth, simple and completely wonderful.

Incredible!

I loved this place and would go back in a sec - but it is rustic and maybe not be for everyone. I would recommend getting the upstairs room with an ocean view and hammocks on the porch. We had a two bed bedroom with a jungle porch/kitchenette. Watched the monkeys from the porch! No AC but we did not need it. The beds were either too hard or too soft. I like the hard mattress but my friend did not. The bathroom was a bit shabby but I'm OK with stuff like that. The upstairs noise was quite loud. You can hear every step someone takes. Great restaurants close by that you can walk to or bike to in a few minutes. We stayed 2 nights but I wish I had at least 2 more.

Wonderful beach location with jungle sounds, free bikes and kayaks

Four of us stayed here from April 2nd to April 11th. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Staff were friendly and fun and very accommodating! Natalia was awesome! Domingo the owner treated us like we were life long friends!! The Cabinas we stayed in were unique and comfy. The local fauna was stunning and we got many glimpses of animals and birds.  The ocean is a 30 second walk from the out door kitchen area where we gathered every day.  It was very convenient to be able to cook your own food, cut up your own fruit, and store your food and beer in the fridge. The weather was hot and humid and we loved every minute of our stay. The wifi provided did work ok! We loved the dogs Maki and Linda who came with us everywhere and alerted us to any passer byers lol The only thing I didnt like about staying here was that we had to leave...
We will be coming back!! 

Wonderful stay!!

We stayed at Cabinas Punta Uva for 6 nights and loved it. Our host Domingo was extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. All of his team were excellent. 
We loved our cabin and the access right to the beach is second to none. Punta Uva seemed to us to be the best beach of a lot of great beaches in the area, recommend walking to the other (Southern) end where it is a bit calmer. If you swim at night you will see bioluminesence all around you!

Punta Uva is about 7 kilometres from Puerto Viejo so very easy to bike or taxi into town when you need to, but it is also right next to one of the best restaurants around, Selvin's, make sure you go there.

Fantastic stay

We had the most fantastic stay here. Set on a beautiful beach, great breakfast with wonderful hosts. We loved listening to the jungle sounds at night. Thoroughly recommend and at a short distance (on a bike) from Puerto Viejo. A bike ride towards Panama takes you to Reserva de Gandoca Manzanillo- utterly stunning and one of the wildest parts we visited.
