This lodge is truly a hidden gem, and we absolutely loved our weeklong stay here. It’s simple yet has everything you need, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and helpful—you can tell they genuinely care about both their guests and the place itself. If you’re looking for a well-maintained, reasonably priced stay with delicious food in a peaceful, local setting, this is the perfect spot. You won’t be surrounded by crowds of tourists, and the beautiful Playa Junquillal—a true gem in itself—is just a five-minute walk away. For those who want a bit more adventure, the staff is happy to arrange all sorts of outings, making it easy to enjoy both relaxation and exploration. We usually lean toward larger establishments, but we were so glad we discovered this special place. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit! A special thank you to Jess for handling our booking, excursions, and everything else we needed—her help made our stay even more enjoyable. And of course thanks to Alice and Bernie.
