The rooms are surf chic, and I stayed in Casita Tortuga, which had a queen bed, bunk bed, and loft with another bed, plus a full kitchen with blender and nice new appliances - which was so nice as I brought a bunch of fruit for smoothies from farm stands on my drive into town. I woke up to the sound of monkeys and being steps from the beach is perfect for surfers like me. The yoga space at Iluminar Yoga Resort across the street, the sister property to Kaya Sol, is gorgeous and the perfect place to take a post-surf yoga class. I love the Kundalini Yoga classes here and the dances that happen in some evenings - it's a really nice community the owners of this hotel Ryan and Sohan have created. Also one of the stand-out features of this hotel is Naked Foods next door - the chef JP is amazing and it is hands down one of the best vegan, organic restaurants in all of Nosara. I feel taken care of, nourished, and relaxed. The space feels super safe - there is a security guard and all the staff here is super sweet and helpful. I love the proximity to the beach - you really can't beat the location and price for all you're getting when you stay at Kaya Sol!
