This hotel is the most amazing oasis situated in the heart of Getsemani. The streets around it burst with life in the evening until the early hours of the morning.
It's a cornucopia of music, food, art and joy!
After enjoying what the streets have to offer you can return to Hotel Cytia and feel enveloped by the cool calm room, and sleep undisturbed.
The breakfast is early so you can get out and about before it gets too warm.
The staff were caring and welcoming, and although my Spanish is very limited, Carlos, Dora and Delice were always there to help and accommodate my needs. It's hard to express just how lovely they were.

An Oasis

The location is great: in the heart of the Getsemani district and 7-8mn walking distance from the historic center of Carthagene. The place also is a very charming colonial house, with a swimming pool and a nice terrace. Having said that, the Calle del Poso in which the hotel is located is very very noisy and the room is not soundproof at all. Besides, my room was located at the lobby next to the swimming pool and the breakfast room, and you can hear everything. So in those conditions, it is very challenging to have a quiet and relaxing sleep. Furthermore, the wifi of the hotel was very unstable and it was difficult to surf correctly. The cleanliness of the bed sheet was questionable as there were some yellow spots on it! The front desk staff was nice but not very helpful. Example: I asked for information about how to go to another city. The lady gave me some approximative info (which was by the way partly false) and I had to do my own research (which was a little bit difficult since my spanish is poor). A professional staff would have looked into the bus company's web site and would have given the client accurate and appropriate info. Overall not good value for money. I won't recommend

No no no too much noise and bad wifi!

My wife and I spent one night at Hotel Casa Cytia on a trip to Colombia and Costa Rica. The hotel is located in the Getsemani district, an area experiencing a rapid gentrification process and one of Cartagena's main tourist attractions. It occupies a small building in a narrow and busy street, making luggage handling a bit tricky for customers with a car or coming by taxi. The lobby area is spacious with the breakfast area and a reasonably-sized swimming pool in the patio. Our room (number 6) was on the first floor and although we stayed at Casa Cytia over the weekend was very quiet. No sound from street music and songs could be heard. The room was very clean but decoration is basic. Good breakfast and very professional and welcoming staff. Hotel Casa Cytia is a very good option for a stay in Cartagena taking into consideration that the Getsemani area is a bit outside from the historical district (~ 10-minute walk). I have no hesitation to recommend it. 

Nice small hotel in Cartagena's Getsemani area

The pool & location is amazing to go back during hot day to cool down before heading out again. Staff is super nice and helpful. The room are comfortable and sparkling clean. Laundry service was quick and reasonable priced (9,000 COP per kilo).

Great service, great location, amazing swimming pool

We loved our stay at Casa Cytia! The staff are very friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious! There are beautiful plants everywhere and you can easily walk to many restaurants, bars and the old walled city. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful hotel in a great location!

Casa Cytia was extremely clean and conveniently located on a very cute street in Cartagena about 10 minutes away (walking) from the historical city center. The owner, Claude, came to my rescue and helped me with some horrible bug bites I got while traveling in Colombia. The staff was very nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast! 10/10 would stay here again.

Wonderful experience, amazing hotel in Cartagena!

Nice clean rooms with toiletries. This hotel has a great pool and nice roof top area. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Great location close to Plaza de la Trinidad and 5 minutes walking to the walled city. 
Breakfast is good, however the seating arrangements were a little cramped since there was only 1 big table set up for the whole hotel. It would be better to have more tables available for breakfast. Good Wifi and refrigerator in the room

Great pool, great staff

We were quite pleased with our 3 day stay at Hotel Casa Cytia. Most of the people we met at breakfast stayed their longer or returned because they liked it so much. The rooms were clean with enough space for luggage, the ambiance was relaxing (hammocks and pool as well as comfy chairs in a common area) and the staff was really friendly. Breakfast was good and they served us early so we could make our flight. I will certainly stay there again.

Great value for a charming hotel with a top location

Fantastic family run hotel in a great spot in Cartagena. Absolutely everything was amazing!
Lovely pool. 
Set back from the road. Great breakfast. Lovely French guy running it with his family. They even did our laundry for cheaper than anywhere else and it was so nice.

Amazing oasis! 

My parents and I absolutely loved staying at Casa Cytia. It was a bit hard to find at first (you really have to make sure that the taxi knows where it is before leaving the airport) but the room and facilities are fantastic. I only suggest that they work on English speaking staff.
