Great upstairs private dining for chinese banquets and the hotel rooms are very spacious. Good value in terms of price and the staff are friendly and helpful. Remember to make sure you lock your bags away on checkout if you are going in for breakfast. Wifi is very good.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. They were very helpful in advice on what to do in the city. I knew one Front desk manager named Grace qian who try to find the local guide for me. She was very nice since I have met and very high of service mind too. So much appreciate for her service and help at that time.

Parking is sufficient. Hotel was very clean as well as the room. The breakfast was better than what I expected. Fresh fruit and verities of foods especially Chinese tea on second floor. Also, Hotel offers the good price for in-house guest. This is what I love the most. I'll be back to this place and highly recommend to others when in the area.

I stayed at the Jinling in Rugao recently, and have to say it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in for years. The staff were attentive, the rooms so comfortable, clean and new. Really an amazing 5-star hotel find in the most unexpected place. Breakfast was a huge spread of all sorts of food from around the globe. Really very highly recommended!

This hotel has good and bad aspects.

The building is grand, clean and has everything you could want.  The rooms are excellent, clean comfortable and well maintained.  There are three restaurants; Western which serves a great buffet breakfast but seem to be desolate in the evening; Chinese which seems to consist of only private dining rooms though the food was OK; Japanese which serves a range of Japanese hot and cold items in small servings though good quality with a decent range of drinks including draught Kirin; red wine is £100 a bottle for cheap Bordeaux, Sake is good.  There is a massive Lobby Bar on the first floor which is totally desolate and with staff who have no idea about serving the small selection of drinks that they have on offer.  There is a well equipped gym and a swimming pool though we never found either open at any sensible time of day.  Very few staff speak or understand any English; talk to the "Assistant Managers" or the Concierge for any help.  During hot weather there is no air conditioning and there is no heating throughout the hotel even with snow on the ground outside.  The free wifi is painfully slow.  The laundry service was good quality and prompt.

This could be an excellent hotel, though it seems to suffer from lack of funding and lack of good management.  I suspect that it is by far the best for miles and cost only £65 per night for a room with two double beds including full buffet breakfast.  As far as we could tell there are no sensible restaurants or bars nearby accessible to Westerners.

This is indeed a very grand hotel,  with a huge lobby. The lobby reminded me a little of the Fairmont San Francisco. 

Upon checking in,  the bellboy assisted us with our luggage,  upon check in,  he brought the luggage to our room and showed us the features in our room. 

The room was fair sized,  there was not much of a view.  Bathroom is a decent size.  However the lack of power source was a bit annoying.  There was only 1 power plug in by the bed,  so I had to charge my electronics at a few several locations around the room. 

The bed is very firm,  I would've preferred a softer pillow top bed,  but the room was Clean. The hotel has free shoe shine service and full service paid laundry. 

The bathroom amenities was however very weak,  there was a $48rmb charge for a "deluxe amenities kit"  that had no name brand shampoo, toothpaste and such inside.  There was 2 tiny container of complimentary shampoo and conditioner but I decided against using them. 

The breakfast at this hotel was very good,  mostly Chinese style with some basic western items such as Bacon, ham and eggs.  There was no omelets or waffle station, but there was a "make your own noodles"  station. 

The overall English level at this hotel was weaker than the Sheraton Wuhan and significantly weaker than the W Guangzhou, but I was still able to carry a basic conversation with the staff,  just no small talk. 

In summary, if you are looking for a clean business hotel with a great breakfast,  this is the place to stay in Rugao, China.
