83 reviewsMy family and I spent one night at the Wuyi Mountain Villa in beautiful Wuyishan in June 2018. The staff, most of whom spoke little English, were all courteous, helpful, and professional. The room was beautifully done in cool, calming almond white with dark wood floors and closets, and light wood window frames. We had a small balcony, which was nice too. The property itself is beautifully landscaped with a delightful garden, offering stunning views of the Wuyi mountains. Former Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands even stayed here back in the 80s or early 90s. We had a decent dinner, but breakfast was superb, especially the fried, round dough with spicy chutney. A beautiful resort and a beautiful place. Wuyishan, with its stunning vistas and idyllic tea fields, is class southern China. One thing though is that one or two spots on one of the exterior walls could have used a bit of paint. Also, Wuyishan is stiflingly hot during summer, so bring plenty of water and avoid walking in the sunlight.
