The king room was small but very clean and comfortable.  The building is old, which contributes heavily to its charm, but bathrooms, etc. have been updated - new fixtures, good lighting, exhaust fans, etc.  The air-conditioning worked well.  Our room overlooked the city walls - lovely view.  Breakfast was very good, and the staff was helpful.  It reminded me of hotel rooms in Europe.  One caution I would give other travelers is that if you are shorter than about 5'1", the bathroom sink might be too high for easy use.

Old World Charm in Old Quebec City

This hotel has character (in the best sense) and is the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. It sparkles. Although the weather was warm when I was there, the thick walls kept it fairly cool. The women who help serve the breakfast were very sweet (although it probably helped that I can speak French.)  The men behind the desk were very nice and very, very helpful. One of them kindly and thoroughly explained a better way for us to get out to Montmorency Falls.

My only complaint was the sink in the bathroom. It was way too high to use comfortably. But they get extra points for having a no-slip mat for the shower.

I love, love, love this place!

My husband and I picked this small hotel based on all the positive TripAdvisor reviews. It exceeded our expectations. The old building if beautifully restored, retaining many of the original walls, floorings, and architectural details while providing current needs for electrical outlets, HVAC, personal comfort and security. It was a pleasure to have a room code rather than a key or card to keep up with. 

The location is great for exploring old Quebec City. Upon our arrival, the fellow at reception swept our luggage up the steps and warmly welcomed us. The warmth continued as we moved into our lovely, quiet room. It was immaculately clean, maybe the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Then came our delight in the wonderful breakfast served graciously by women who spoke French and various levels of English who all spread good cheer. The coffee machine has many choices. All that we tried were delicious, as were the food items.

Check out and getting a cab were seamless, with the same reception guy carrying our luggage out.

The best coffee I've ever had!! Charming and historic with lots of character. Beds were wonderful, very clean. Good location, easy to get where you need to go.  Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed it immensely!

Great location in Old Town. Walking distance to all the sights  Hotel is a charming old building, with brick and stone walls. Very nice breakfast included with room. Staff were excellent. I would stay at this hotel again, if I am ever in this area.

Great location!

I made a last minute booking and this hotel was the perfect choice on all respect. Great location at the border of the old part of the city and 5 minutes walk from the center and 2 minutes from the parliament. 
Even though the entrance does not make much impression, the people at the reception makes the check in a pleasant process and you are at  your room in no time. Room was small but very nicely arranged and enough for my short stay. 
Breakfast was great, more than expected, with a great variety of choices and very nice coffee. The team serving was exceptional as well.

Great location, great breakfast, fantastic team in the heart of Quebec city 

In the center of things, for walking this lovely historic city. This old stone building offers rooms, each slightly different, but rich in comfort. We find, hotel rooms, period, often come up short in bedside lights to enable reading. This does not - individual reading lamps here are the best.   Despite this building is on a busy thoroughfare the double windows 🪟 significantly mute traffic noise, a long with quality drapes blackout light in a latitude where, in summer, days are long. Restaurants are many within blocks of the hotel, they offer appealing dining experience at surprisingly good value and warm cheerful service. 
We'd come back here in a shot.

Gorgeous, historical, quiet hotel. Friendly staff and exquisite suite. Original wood in our suite; views of lovely hanging flowers outside. Ideally located in the heart of old Quebec City. Sumptuous breakfast treats. Had a marvelous time. Hope to stay again!

Unforgettable and charming!

We loved this hotel on the corner of rue d"Auteuil and rue St. Louis, with a view of the Porte St Louis. We were there in late May, at the height of the tulip-blooming season. Fantastic tulip plantings in nearby Parliament and along the hotel's front flowerbeds. The owners are flower-lovers to be sure, with many stunning orchids in each available window space.  We were treated graciously and warmly every day of our one-week stay.  Front desk staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff were excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast rooms very accommodating, with staff providing a portion of the serving to limit touching of commonly-used items (tongs, refrigerator handles, etc.)
While the hotel is at the corner of the old town perimeter, it is still very close to everything in the old town. Very walkable location.  We will encourage our friends and family to visit beautiful Quebec City and to stay in this hotel!

Lovely location near the Porte St Louis

This place is easy walking access to practically everything in city central Quebec City.  The rooms are quaint.  Everything in the bedroom is clean, clean, clean.  Like someone is really paying attention to that detail. 
The breakfast buffet is well organized.  Nothing spectacular, but good and decent. 
The owners have been around a while so they know what they are doing.
