My wife and I really liked staying here! Pierre was a wonderful and interesting host, and it was possible to get to know other guests since it is a small B&B and we had breakfast around the same time. The breakfasts were excellent and the whole place had a very friendly and accommodating vibe. 

A few things besides the hospitality we enjoyed: having electronic locks on the rooms instead of cards or keys, having half washrooms in the room, an inviting common area, and a very clean (shared) bath. Our room was clean and comfortable (though a bit tight when the bed was converted to a double). It was nice to park at the B&B and take the bus into the center and the bus stop is close by.

We would definitely stay here again on a return visit!

Loved this place!

I stayed four nights at Soleil Nordique with my family and am pleased with the service.  Soleil Nordique is in a very nice residential neighborhood--quiet and safe--a couple of miles west of the old city and a few blocks east of University of Laval.  The bus stop is a 5-minute walk providing easy access to the rest of the city.  Bus comes every 5 minutes.  Off-street parking and internet are provided at no extra charge.  Soleil Nordique is clean--I mean really clean, squeaky clean.  The owner, Pierre, speaks perfect English, is talkative, helpful and friendly.  Pierre goes out of his way to make sure his guests are pleased.  The breakfasts he provided are good--warm bread, croissants, fresh fruit, juice, ham, cheese, coffee, tea.  For other meals, guests can use the kitchen to prepare their own meals.  The place is not overdone with lace and Victorian trifles like so many other B&Bs. The beds and furniture are IKEA-type--simple but comfortable.  Our room came with it's own toilet and sink and the shower is shared with other guests--always hot, clean, and never a queue.

VERY NICE PLACE--CLEAN, SAFE, FRIENDLY

During my last visit to Quebec City I stayed at the B&B Le Soleil Nordique.  I found it to be a very good and quiet location, close to Maguire Street with its Bistros and Restaurants.  It's in a nice residential area but very central to everything.
The room was spotless and the bed was confortable; it had its own half bathroom and the door is securely locked with an electronic locking mecanism. 
If you're looking for a nice safe and quiet B&B, Le Soleil Nordique is definitely recommended.

Great B&B in Quebec City

Pierre was a great host and the B&B was comfortable. Three or four main floor rooms with toilets (in a very small room!) and sink in rooms and common tub/shower. Our bed was comfortable, though in the front room so a bit of as fishbowl to the street and neighbours. Nice living room with tv and dining area. Can buy your own food for lunches and keep in fridge. Breakfasts were simple but all fresh as Pierre went to the bakery each morning - great croissants!
Can catch bus to Old Quebec a long block away (10-15 minute bus ride), and a nice little shopping/restaurant area about a three minute drive away.
We were two couples and were comfortable. Pierre as I mentioned was very hands on and engaging, with lots of ideas and experiences to share without being intrusive.
We would stay there again.

Not glamorous, but comfortable

A lovely little spot in a quiet neighbourhood about 4 km from old Quebec City....perfect for us. Our room was pretty small but it had everything we needed. Our host, Pierre, was full of all kinds of useful information about history, the city, helpful hints for getting around. We very much enjoyed this B&B as our base for cycling.
