The Black Sea is great value for money. The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and the location is spot on. What the Black Sea lacks in luxury decor, it more than makes up for it in location, value for money & friendly staff.

Older property but well maintained. Owners were very friendly & accomodating. We had a room with lake view on ground level. I have been vacationing in Penticton for several years and this was hands down the best location. Cross walk to beach right in front, several restaurants right beside (including Saltys). Was so relaxing sitting on the patio. I highly recommend this property & the lake view room! 

The family owned Black Sea is a very clean motel. It is an old motel, but most of it÷ been updated. The shower head was amazing!  Great for a sore back? especially when you have to sleep on an futon. It was time sleeping.
Only 1 negative, which is the futon.
It is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I've sat in!

Best Location for Summer Vacation

Our bathroom wasn't very clean, microwave wasn't clean, no kitchen towels.  We didn't see any cleaners around during our visit to have this addressed.  We were not asked how our stay was going like most of the smaller motels do.  Owners seems bit disorganized or short-staffed.   The seating/barbecue area was complete mess.  No common area to relax; only the beach across the street.   Back gate was locked so tricky to get in/out with large vehicle.  Unless they cleaned up the property/rooms, we would not go back or recommend.  Expected alot cleaner for the price.

Clean, comfy, quiet. Very comfy bed. The lake is just across the way. There is a paddle boat, museum right there also. Very nice area of Penticton. Out of the business of town. Very nice for walks. Restful.

I have stayed here many times thru the years and have always enjoyed the convenience of being across the street from Okanagon lake. Easy walking distance to everything. Owners, very nice. 
There’s no pool and parking is very tight. Also I think rates have gotten a little high for what is offered. I can stay at the Ramada for $10-$15 more with all the amenities like pool restaurant and pub on site.

very rude person working there swearing.we just moved to Penticton.was looking at the place to maybe recommend to friends or family.the place was almost empty ,hardly no one staying there.will not recommend because of the person following us in a car in the parking lot scareing me.
