Our recent stay in Welland was a wonderful experience , our hotel was modern, very clean,friendly staff, spacious quiet room with all amenities,  including the amenities in our bathroom, bed was wonderful . The breakfast was awesome,fresh food and very clean , nice view. All in all, a wonderful experience. We will always look for a Holiday Inn Express first, on our next getaway!!

I spent a week in the Twiglet and was fun to try out a "tiny house".  It had everything I needed and more.   I loved the back private patio to do my yoga and I could see the goats from the kitchen window.  Every morning I fed them and and I gave everyone treats in the afternoon. I loved interacting with all the animals!  They were the sweetest and brought a different energy to this trip than the usual.  Petra was awesome and so friendly and helpful for finding other hidden gems around the area.  We had some great chats!  I will remember this experience for years and I highly recommend the healing energy that only animals can bring!

We enjoyed a week in the Twiglet and a week in the Hoblet, far enough away from each other that you don't see your neighbors. This place is such a sweet country getaway with friendly critters, only about a 20-minute drive to Niagra Falls. This eco-friendly place appeals to us on so many levels particularly that it is an animal sanctuary. Our hosts were very accommodating and pleasant.

We were fortunate enough to find this gem for a short after wedding getaway. We stayed in the “hoblet” which was fantastic! Petra was friendly and gracious, even leaving us a lovely wedding gift. The cottage was immaculate, and so cozy and inviting. The property is beautiful and of course the animals were the highlight! We loved feeding and giving them love. The super friendly pigs enjoyed sitting on the patio and chilling at the fire pit with us. I can’t say enough great things! We can’t wait to go back!!!

...and now for something completely different...Nature's Energy Centre, run by Petra and Mush, is a creative and whimsical sanctuary filled with rescue animals—donkeys, pot-bellied pigs, dogs and Monty the goat. You have a choice of two tiny houses to enjoy this oasis, and we stayed in The Hoblet, an eco-friendly space with a living roof...fabulous! Both Petra and her husband, Mush, are so welcoming and filled with ideas to help their guests enjoy the Niagara region...there’s far more to offer than just Niagara Falls!

I feel so fortunate to have found this amazing and tranquil getaway. My sister and I have been coming here from Ottawa, ON once or twice a year for the past several years and have already booked our visit for this Fall. I cannot say enough about the owners, Petra and Mush, and their love for the many animals they have rescued over the years who now have a forever home at the sanctuary. As hosts of the Hoblet and Twiglet, you couldn't ask for more welcoming and kind-hearted people. They go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, and Petra is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to places to visit and eat in the area. The accommodations are clean and cozy and are equipped with everything you need - just bring your food. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, and the animals - what can I say - they're all adorable! (I have a particular fondness for the piggies that live there)! I highly recommend you make it a point to come and stay here at least once. You won't be disappointed. In fact, you will most likely return again and again, as many guests do. Of note, even though I moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia a few months ago, I will be flying back to Ontario in October just to make my annual visit to the 'Hoblet' with my sister. I can't wait to get back there!

I can’t stop going here!!! Petra and mush are the most amazing people I have ever met. They treat everyone with so much respect. If you need anything they are more then willing to accommodate you. 
The hoblet and the twiglet are both immaculate. 
I can’t wait to head back there to visit them again!! 

ALSO. Where can you ever have a get away where it is so quite and you are surrounded by animals!! 

These two have the biggest hearts out of anyone. All the animals you see are rescued. 

Remember on your visit to bring a few carrots for the animals!

Our stay at the Hoblet was such an amazing and memorable experience. The room was quaint and cozy and had all the amenities. It was nestled amongst trees where you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings and the critters who often came to say hello. Our getaway was everything we had hoped for and more. But it was Petra and Mush and their wonderful rescue animals that made this experience so special for me. This weekend away was a birthday gift to me from my best friend and even that detail was remembered with a Happy Birthday wish with chocolate when we arrived, so thoughtful. Thank you Petra and Mush for your hospitality, kindness and for being so gracious.  I can't wait to come back again!

The three of us had been eagerly awaiting our visit to Petra and Mush’s Hoblet. And what a special place ... it’s unlike anywhere we’ve ever been. We felt fortunate that we had seen most of the area attractions already (being from Toronto) so we could focus on just being at the Hoblet and not having to feel like we needed to do more than that. Even though the weather did not co-operate, we still loved being there and any chance we could, we’d be outside to interact with the sweet animals that are so well looked after at this very special place. Although Petra & Mush are great about giving their guests privacy, we sought them out and felt fortunate to have had some really fun conversations about the area and the centre - so glad we could do that - we really, really enjoyed our interaction with both of them. (Thank you so much for all you do :). We will all definitely be back - and hopefully sooner than later!

We just finished staying for 3 nights at the newest accommodations at the Natures Energy Reserve, the Twiglet.  It is small in size but holds everything you will need. We were comfortable and definitely relaxed. It rained two of the days that we were there but did not phase our enjoyment of the accommodations. As always the animals appreciated our visit (and the cut up apples).
