Had a great stay here. We initially booked for one night but enjoyed it so much we stayed for nearly a week. The owner is lovely and welcoming. They also rent scooters at a reasonable price too. Good location. We will return again next time we're in Kampot

Lovely stay

The owner is a really nice guy who goes out of his way to help you. Renting a bike from here is $5 a day, really great price and no hassle or issues like you can get with other places and they allow you to leave ID and not passport too. Room was cleaned during our stay, had laundry done too which was really cheap and quick. Room was spacious and clean and the outside door was locked at night so it was safe and also in a quiet area of the town too. Overall a really great place to stay. He even organised us a tuk tuk for the morning we left so we would be paying a fair price.

Great place with a lovely and helpful owner

I've been meaning to write this for a few weeks... we had a great stay at Ta Eng, we stayed there for a week. The room was clean, the breakfast was cheap, and Kon was very hospitable. He runs the place with his dad who takes the breakfast orders and I believe his mom who from what I saw, does the laundry. Kon is very laid back and relaxed. The only thing that some people didn't like was that, he closes the gates at 12am. This is clearly stated on the booking sites,  so I don't understand why it is a surprise. We came back one night past 12, he immediately came out and opened th gates, he didn't seem to mind. On our last day, while waiting for the bus, we forgot we needed to print our visas out and get some cash. Kon gave us the keys to a moped and told us where to go. He rents them as well, but this one was on the house! He also booked our bus tickets for us to Vietnam and he text us through out the day to make sure everything was smooth. Honestly, just great service and a good guy. If your staying in Kampot this place is a good deal.

Clean and relaxing

The room was clean and in a very quiet building about 10-15 mins walking to the city centre. The staff was helpful, they were able to sort me out a scooter straight away and helped me with travel info. Unfortunately, when I came back from further info, no one speaking English was there so that was quite frustrating. But otherwise all good. They close the gate at midnight, so that’s to keep in consideration. 

Nice and quiet place

In a quit street in Kampot. A little bit far away from the riverside. A little bit boring place, not to clean rooms. Boring restaurant. 

You can rent a motobike at this place. Very good service and cheap.

A friendly stay

Raciest place for local people. They should move business to Vietnam. They don't deserve it here. Expat and tourist stop support this place. There are many other nice places in kampot. Never recommend this place

I made a booking via booking.com. But two weeks later the owner wrote me to cancel the room. So we had a big hassle to find something else for a similar price. 
This owner is rude and unreliable ! He must have a big mess in his booking system.
